Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not including women journalists in the press conference organized by Afghanistan Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaki in Delhi on Friday (October 10). Rahul said that when the Prime Minister remains silent on such discrimination, it gives a message of weakness and insensitivity towards the women of the entire country.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, “Modi ji, when you allow women journalists to be thrown out of any public event, you are telling every woman in the country that you are weak in standing up for them. In our country, women have the right to equal participation in every field. Your silence on such discrimination exposes the hollowness of your slogans of ‘women power’.”

Mr. Modi, when you allow the exclusion of women journalists from a public forum, you are telling every woman in India that you are too weak to stand up for them.

What did the Foreign Ministry say?

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has clarified that the Ministry had no interference or role in the press conference organized by the Afghan Foreign Minister in Delhi on October 10. The ministry also said that it was not MEA’s decision to not include women journalists in this press interaction.

Opposition raised questions

Political turmoil in the country intensified after the news of women journalists not being included in the press conference of the Afghan Foreign Minister. Former Home Minister P. Chidambaram said that when women journalists were kept out, male journalists should have immediately staged a walkout in protest. Chidambaram wrote on

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi as to why the government allowed this humiliating situation. He wrote, “Prime Minister Modi ji, please clarify why women journalists were removed from the Taliban minister’s press conference? Are your claims of women’s rights just election slogans?”

TMC MP Mahua Moitra called it an “insult to every Indian woman” and said, “The government has insulted every woman in the country by allowing the Taliban minister to keep out women journalists. This is a shameful and spineless move.”

Patient rights law india: A surprising case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh. In Jaunpur Women’s District Hospital, a female patient has made serious allegations against the doctor. According to the patient, on the basis of religion, the doctor refused to see him and another Muslim woman. Shama Parveen, 27, said that the doctor said that “I will not see it, do not bring it to the operation theater.” He saw other patients, but refused to see these two Muslim patients. At this time, the opposition is targeting the government. Let us tell you today, whether it can be refused by treatment on the basis of religion.

Can discrimination be done on the basis of religion?

First of all, we come, Medical Council of India (Now NMC )’s Code of Medical Ethics Regulation, 2002, in which medical ethics is told. According to this, a doctor should not ignore any valid patient. If a doctor deliberately refuses to treat without giving any concrete reason, then this rule is considered a violation.

A research report published in PMC Medical Negligence: Indian Legal Perspective states that if a doctor is very negligent, such as not deliberately not seeing or leaving the patient, then it comes under the purview of legal action. Earlier, Section 304A (Rash or Negligent Act Causing Death) of the IPC, which has now turned to Section 106 (1) of the Code of Justice of India (BNS). If someone dies due to negligence in this, then there can be punishment. But this applies only when negligence is serious. Apart from this, the patient also has the right to prosecute a civil law in the medical field.

Right to refuse treatment

The patient has the right to informed consent. This means that the patient should be given complete information before treatment. According to this, the doctor also has the right to understand that the patient’s case is risky for him or is not a resource, then he can refuse to treat, or refer the matter. But the biggest thing in this is that refusal on the basis of religious, caste or gender is considered illegal and immoral. The patient can file a case in the court for this and the doctor can also be punished. However, it is necessary that there is evidence in the case that the doctor deliberately discriminated or negligence.

President of Republican Party of India (Athawale) and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has advocated united Dalit politics in the country. He suggested that if a coalition of Dalit political parties is formed in future, then it should be led by Mayawati, the head of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

Ramdas Athawale’s statement is coming at a time when Dalit politics in the country is changing in a new way. India alliance is ahead in this. Especially Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav have disturbed the BJP and its allies regarding the matter of social justice.

Athawale emphasized the solidarity of Dalit politics

Ramdas Athawale said that now the time has come to unite the scattered factions of Dalit politics. If an alliance is formed, Mayawati should lead it. He has experience and big political power. Expressing concern over the current situation of Dalit society, he said that despite reservation and constitutional rights, incidents of discrimination and injustice are coming out in many places in the country. Athawale said this in an interview with Jansatta. After which many types of speculations are being made.

Athawale said that the situation of Dalits in India is still not completely strong. He said that the Constitution has given rights to Dalits, but incidents of discrimination and injustice are not stopping. The large part of the Dalit society is struggling for its rights. He also said that Dalit leaders are present in big parties like Congress and BJP, but Dalit society will have to be united to raise its voice.

Reason for alliance with BJP

On the question of alliance with BJP in 2016, Athawale said that I felt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to work for Dalit society. His government has launched many schemes for Dalits. Describing his partnership with the BJP as positive, he said that this step was in the interest of Dalit society.

Christians are being targeted under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. This is the situation when only 1.8 percent of the total population in Pakistan is left. Nevertheless, about one-fourth of blasphemy allegations have been leveled against these people.

There is a provision of death penalty in blasphemy laws. In June 2024, 73-year-old Pakistani Christian Lazar was brutally beaten to death on false charges of burning the Quran.

Attacks on Christian houses in Jaranwala in 2023
According to the 2025 World Watch list of Open Doors, girls and women in Pakistan are falling victim to kidnapping, forced marriage, sexual violence and forced conversion. In 2023, attacks on Christian houses and buildings in Jaranwala are promoting the culture of fear. Historical churches have less freedom for worship and other activities. However, they are strictly monitored and many times are attacked by bombs.

According to the report, in the culture of Pakistan, leaving a family member is considered extremely shameful and hence those who convert to religion have to face sharp opposition from their own family and community, including so -called honor killing.

Why Christian is being targeted
The report says that Christians in Pakistan suffer from institutional discrimination and the work which are considered to be low, dirty and derogatory such as sewer cleaning or working on brick kiln, are reserved for Christians. Muslims are encouraged not to accept Christian men in senior positions at the workplace, as Islamic society promotes the outlook of superiority.

Christian Punjab
According to the report, Christians of Muslim background have to bear the brunt of harassment, one from radical Islamic groups that consider them to be religious and secondly from families, friends and neighbors who consider conversion from family and community as a shameful act of betrayal with family and community. Most Christians live in Punjab and this is the region of Pakistan, where the incidents of oppression and discrimination come the most.

Menstruating dalit student news: A shocking incident has come to light at a private school in Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu. Here a student of eighth was forced to take the exam by allegedly sitting outside the classroom due to her menstruation. The incident occurred at a school located in Senguttaipalam near Polachi. In a video recorded by the girl’s mother, it was shown that the girl was sitting on the stairs outside the class to take the exam. This video went viral on social media, after which the authorities started the investigation.

According to sources, the student had two exams this week. During the examination, his parents demanded a separate desk to relax him keeping in mind his menstrual state. Despite this, on Monday, the girl was forced to sit on the floor outside the class. On Wednesday, when the girl came to school for the second exam, her parents found her sitting outside the class again.

Explanation sought from school management

In the video recorded by the mother, the student is heard saying that the school principal instructed her to sit there. Director of Matriculation Schools A. Palanisamy confirmed that the Chief Educational Officer was investigating the incident. He said, “Explanation has been sought from the school management and appropriate action will be taken after receiving the report.”

Sitting on the hard surface

Assistant Superintendent of Police Srishti Singh started the investigation on Thursday. He said that on the evening of April 6, the girl’s mother had approached the class teacher and requested the arrangement of special seats, but she was asked to talk to the principal. The next day on 7 April, while leaving her daughter school, the mother met the principal and requested a separate seating arrangement to prevent the risk of infection. After the mother left, the student was seated outside the class. That evening the girl caused leg pain due to sitting on the hard surface, due to which she was upset. The next day she did not go to school, but the same situation came to light again when she came back to school on Wednesday.

Mother made a video after reaching school

When a relative saw him sitting outside, he informed the family, after which his mother immediately reached the school and made a video. The video is now going viral. Although no formal complaint has been filed so far, the officials have assured a fair investigation on receiving the complaint.

Meanwhile, the correspondent of the school has suspended the principal under Section 17 of the Right to Education Act, 2009. This section stops the incidents of harassing children physically or mentally.
