The sudden visit of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to Mumbai has intensified the stir in the politics of the state. Amidst the discussion of changing the Chief Minister, this visit is giving rise to many speculations. However, Shivkumar clearly said that his visit is completely personal and there was no plan for any political meeting.

‘If a meeting had to be held, it would have been in Delhi or Bengaluru’ – Shivkumar
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Shivkumar rejected reports of meeting Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. He said, ‘I have come here only for a family function. No meeting took place. If there was a meeting to be held then why would he come to Mumbai? She would have been in Bengaluru or Delhi. When asked if he talked to the leadership on the issue of the Chief Minister’s post, Shivakumar replied – ‘No… I am in no hurry for anything.’

War of words between Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah
Earlier, the ongoing tussle between Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar over the post of Chief Minister turned into a war of words on Thursday, when both came face to face to fulfill a promise. Amidst the power struggle, Shivkumar said, ‘The power of words is world power.’ To this, Siddaramaiah quipped, ‘A promise becomes power only when it improves people’s lives.’ Siddaramaiah is insisting that he will complete the full five-year term. Whereas Shivkumar wants that he should be made the Chief Minister after the completion of half the tenure of the government (on November 20).

Siddaramaiah vs Shivakumar reached social media
The Chief Minister posted on ‘X’ and said, ‘The mandate given by the people of Karnataka is not for a moment but is a responsibility for the entire five years.’ Shivkumar wrote on social media on Thursday, ‘Sticking to one’s words is the greatest strength in the world! The power of words is world power. He said, ‘Whether it is a judge… or anyone else, even if it is me, everyone should stick to their word. The power of words is the real power of the world. The cryptic post is believed to be a reminder to Congress and Siddaramaiah that in 2023, when both were vying for the chief minister’s post and the party had won the state elections, they had reportedly signed a power-sharing agreement.

Siddaramaiah reminded of his promises
Siddaramaiah told in his post how he made the world better. For this, he mentioned five guarantee schemes – ‘Shakti’, ‘Griha Lakshmi’, ‘Yuva Nidhi’, ‘Anna Bhagya’ and ‘Griha Jyoti’. These schemes are related to free electricity, cash assistance to women and free bus travel for women. Siddaramaiah said that in his first term from 2013 to 2018, 157 out of 165 promises were fulfilled, i.e. more than 95 percent of the promises were fulfilled.

He said, ‘In the current tenure, more than 243 out of 593 promises have been fulfilled. All other promises will be fulfilled with commitment, credibility and caution. The Chief Minister said, ‘The mandate given by the people of Karnataka is not for a moment but for the entire five years. The Congress party, including me, is working for its people with truth, stability and courage. Our promise for Karnataka is not a slogan, but it means a lot to us.

Amidst the ongoing tussle within the Congress over the Chief Minister’s post in Karnataka, Home Minister G. God has made a big statement. He said that if the Congress high command decides to make DK Shivakumar the Chief Minister, he will completely accept it. This statement is being considered as one of the strongest signals coming from the Siddaramaiah camp.

What did God say?
While talking to a media channel, he said, ‘When I am asked about my desires for the post of Chief Minister, I answer that I am in this race. But if the party high command approves a transition and DK Shivakumar becomes the chief minister, we will accept it. He also said that if the transition was approved by the party, it would be smooth and peaceful.

He himself is interested in the post of CM.
Parameshwara reiterated that he also aspires to become the Chief Minister and the high command is fully aware of his contribution to the party. He made it clear that the final decision is in the hands of the party high command. He also described Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge as a ‘suitable candidate’, but said he had no knowledge of any agreement between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar.

Struggle continues over leadership in Karnataka
At present there is speculation about the post of Chief Minister in Karnataka. The tussle revolves around the alleged power-sharing agreement between Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Everyone is waiting for the decision of the party high command, which will decide the direction of the state’s politics.

DK Shivkumar’s suggestive statement
Earlier, amid the ongoing tussle over the post of Chief Minister in Karnataka, Congress State President and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar had given a symbolic statement. He said that ‘the power of words is the power of the world and keeping a promise is the greatest power.’ His statement is being seen as an indication of the demand for change of power after Siddaramaiah and the political pressure associated with it.

Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar targeted the Modi government fiercely on Tuesday (September 23, 2025). He said that there are pits in the roads in many places including the Prime Minister’s residence in the national capital Delhi. He insisted that the state government is working day and night to fill the pits in Bengaluru.

Bangalore Development Minister DK Shivkumar told the media, “We are all pits filling. We are working despite the rain. Every corporation is filling 200 pits daily in the area. About 1,000 pits are being filled in Bangalore in a single day.”

DK Shivkumar gave advice to journalists
DK Shivkumar said that I went to Delhi, so I saw the pit there. I appeal to you that you tell your journalists in Delhi to go and see how many pits are in front of the Prime Minister’s residence. I want to say the same to big IT companies. These problems are everywhere. He further said that this problem is in the whole country, it is our duty and we are doing it, but it is not right to show it only about Karnataka.

Target BJP
Taking a dig at the BJP, the Deputy CM of Karnataka said that the problem of pits in Bengaluru remained during the BJP rule. He further said that if the BJP had maintained the roads properly then this situation would not have happened. He did not do so, but we will do our work.

Let us know that the problem of pits in the IT capital of the country made headlines at the national level, when prominent people of the Indian industry expressed concern over the roads and traffic problems of Bangalore. Blackbuck CEO and co-founder Rajesh Yawaji announced that the logistics firm has now decided to go out of Bellandur after 9 years.

What did Blackbuck CEO say
He said in a post on X that it is very difficult to stay here now. We have decided to leave from here. Citing the reasons behind this big decision, he said that my colleagues take more than one and a half hours in one -way journey. Roads are full of pits and dust and there is no desire to get them fixed. There is no change in it in the next 5 years. However, Blackbuck CEO later dismissed the news of his firm leaving Bengaluru.

A conflict between two senior state government officials posted at Karnataka Bhavan in Delhi has created a big political controversy. The confrontation between the two officers at Karnataka Bhavan took place on Tuesday (July 22, 2025). It included Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s Special Duty Officer (SDO) and Assistant Resident Commissioner C. Mohan Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka Congress state president DK Shivkumar’s SDO H. Anjanaiya.

Sdo H. Anjaniah complained in the case

According to an official complaint filed by H. Anjaniah, the dispute between officials in Karnataka Bhavan in Delhi had increased so much that SDO C. Mohan Kumar had threatened to even kill him. The entire dispute took place in the presence of all other employees in Karnataka Bhavan. During this, a senior officer Pramila was also present.

SDO H. Anjaniah has made a formal complaint about the case to Resident Commissioner of Karnataka Bhavan, Imkongla Jamir and Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh. In the complaint, he has accused C. Mohan Kumar of harassment, misuse of his rights and repeatedly causing problems. He has also demanded criminal action in this matter.

Karnataka Chief Secretary sought report

On the complaint of SDO Anjaniah, Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh has taken the matter seriously. He has ordered an official inquiry into the matter and has also sought a report on this from the Resident Commissioner.

After all, why the dispute between the two officers

SDO H. Anjaniah alleged in his written complaint C. Mohan Kumar not only used abusive language, but also threatened to kill him, which he has described as a direct attack on his dignity. He said, “He threatened to kill me in front of everyone in the office chamber, if there is an accident with me, C. Mohan Kumar will be responsible for this.”

C. Mohan Kumar dismissed the allegations made by H. Anjaniah

The allegations made by H. Anjaniah in this case have been rejected by SDO C. Mohan Kumar. In contrast, Mohan Kumar has accused Anjania of indiscipline and misbehavior. C. Mohan Kumar also cited several complaints already made against H. Anjaniah on behalf of other employees of Karnataka Bhavan.

It is noteworthy that this conflict between the officials is also showing the inner political tussle between Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar.

ALSO READ: ‘OBC society insults’, BJP said on Rahul Gandhi’s statement- the ideal is considered as ideal

Dk shivakumar on rcb: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar has given a statement about rumors of buying RCB franchise and caste census. He said that we know the spirit of people and respect their lives. He asked what do I need RCB?

Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar said, “I am not mad. It is just that I am a member of the Karnataka Cricket Association since my childhood. I do not have time, although I got a proposal to be a part of management. I do not even drink Royal Challenge.”

Bengaluru refuses to comment on stampede

On the Bangalore stampede, he said, “I do not want to comment on it. It is under investigation and all the officials are cooperating in it. If BJP people also want to say anything, they can also give their opinion. I do not want to comment on anything that includes the judiciary. We are coming up with a policy to stop the mob management and such incidents.”

What did DK Shivukmar say on the issue of caste census?

On the issue of caste census, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka said, “We have gathered information from different sections of the society. Some of them feel that this is a 10 -year -old survey. Although we have spent a lot of money on it, but basically we agree with the report.”

He said, “Whether the report may be, but we are only concerned about the numbers. We had to take a final decision on it on 22 June 2025. Before that my party’s high command called us. They have sought details. They have consulted the media leaders and they have instructed us.”

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi on Tuesday (10 June 2025) and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. During this time, various topics including the incident of stampede took place in Bengaluru on June 4.

Congress is criticized for Bengaluru stampede

A ceremony was held at Chinnaswamy Stadium here on June 4 to celebrate the first win in the IPL final of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), but 11 people were killed and more than 56 people were injured due to stampede outside the stadium. After this incident, the Congress government of the state is being severely criticized.

RCB Victory Parade Stampede: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the trophy by defeating Punjab in the IPL final on Tuesday. After this, on Wednesday (June 4, 2025), a celebration was organized for this victory of RCB at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. During this time many people died of stampede. The BJP has targeted the Congress regarding this. Meanwhile, a strange statement of Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar has come out.

Talking to the media on Wednesday, DK Shivkumar said that I have spoken to the police commissioner and others regarding this matter. He said that I will also go to the hospital to meet the injured, but now I do not want to have trouble in treatment due to my departure.

Congress leader DK Shivkumar said that we are appealing to people to maintain peace. We settled this program soon and finished it in 10 minutes. Millions of people have come here, so we are trying to handle the situation.

Karnataka Assembly Elections Survey Result: Political situation in Karnataka has changed rapidly after Operation Sindoor. A shocking revelation has been revealed in a recent survey. It has been revealed that if assembly elections are held in Karnataka today, then BJP can benefit bumper.

According to a survey by Hyderabad’s People’s Pulse Society and Kodemo Technologies, if elections are held in Karnataka, the BJP will win the Congress clearly. At the same time, JDS will remain in third place.

It has been told in the survey that CM Siddaramaiah is still the most favorite candidate for the post of Chief Minister. This survey, which lasted for a month, was talked to 10,481 people. According to this, BJP may get a majority on its own in Karnataka for the first time and is likely to get 136 to 159 seats, while the Congress can get 62 to 82 seats and its vote percentage can be reduced to 40.3%. It was 42.88% in the year 2023. The survey has revealed that the Congress is facing an anti -government wave.

JDS likely to get only 3 to 6 seats

JDS is likely to get only 3 to 6 seats and its vote share can also be reduced to 5 percent. It was 18.3 percent in the year 2023. It is indicating a direct contest between BJP and Congress in state politics.

BJP has become the largest party three times

The Bharatiya Janata Party has been playing an important role in the politics of Karnataka for the last 20 years and has become the largest party three times (2004, 2008, 2018), but so far the party has not been able to touch the magic figures of majority (113 out of 224 seats) on its own.

Siddaramaiah most popular Chief Minister candidate

According to the survey, CM Siddaramaiah is the most popular chief ministerial candidate among all parties. 29.2 percent of the voters liked him. After him, Deputy CM DK. Shivkumar got 10.7 percent votes.

How much support to which BJP leader?

No BJP leader got support in double digits. BS Yeddyurappa got 5.5 percent, Basavaraj Bommai 3.6 percent and B.Y. Vijayendra received 5.2 percent support. However, 16.9 percent of the people chose the ‘any BJP candidate’ option.

Mixed opinion on the functioning of Congress government

The functioning of the Congress government was mixed. 48.4 percent of the people described the functioning of the Congress government as ‘very good’ or ‘good’, while 51.6 percent described it as ‘average’, ‘bad’ or ‘very bad’.

Home Lakshmi Yojana was most liked

Out of the five major schemes of the Congress, the most liked scheme was home Lakshmi, which was liked by 45.4% of the voters. Under this scheme, Rs 2,000 is given to the female head of the family every month. After this, Shakti Yojana was liked by 19%, food fate 17%, home Jyoti 13.5% and youth fund was liked by 2%. At the same time, 3% of the people said that they did not know about these schemes.
