Lawmakers Warn Trump: A new tension has arisen in the trade relations between the two countries after US President Donald Trump imposed high tariffs of up to 50 percent on some Indian products. This step of the American administration has not only affected India’s economy, but opposition to it is also increasing within America. Experts and lawmakers say such a drastic decision on tariffs could have a long-term adverse impact on India-US relations, which have been based on cooperation, security and economic partnership for decades. It is also being said that due to increase in trade barriers, the profits of American companies have decreased and due to increase in import costs, there has been additional burden on consumers.

Indian-American MP Amy Bera raised this issue seriously in the US Congress and criticized many policies of the Trump administration. In particular, he termed the additional fee of $100,000 on H1B visa as excessive and impractical. Amy Bera says that this heavy duty is weakening the ability of American companies to include foreign talent in their industries. Given the important role Indian professionals play in Silicon Valley and the tech industry, such a move harms America’s technological edge. He also said that these additional costs hurt small and medium-sized American companies the most, who already face global competition.

Tariff threatens US-India people-to-people connect

Behera also warned that high tariffs and stringent visa policies are not only having an economic impact, but are also harming the people-to-people connect between the two countries. The biggest strength of India-US relations has been people-to-people cooperation, technical exchange and education-trade relations. If it is disrupted, it will directly weaken the long-term strategic partnership between the two countries. In this context, he referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping and indicated that tough American policies could tilt India towards other superpowers.

Democrat MP Pramila Jayapal widely criticized the tariff policy during her address to Congress. According to him, the high import duty policy of the Trump administration has definitely affected the Indian economy, but due to this, American businesses and consumers are also suffering equally. Due to high import costs, the production of American companies is becoming expensive, due to which the prices of their products are increasing and competition is decreasing. He warned that this situation could pose a threat to America’s economic stability and the health of the market.

Anti-Indian sentiment is increasing in America

Expressing special concern, Pramila Jaipal said that anti-Indian sentiment is increasing rapidly in America in recent years. He says that the tense trade environment between India and America and the strictness of visa policies is further increasing this sentiment. Whereas the reality is that the contribution of Indian-Americans is extremely important in the fields of American economy, education, technology and innovation. Crores of people of Indian origin play an important role in American development through taxes, employment and investment in America, hence such policies are also against America’s own interests.

Talks regarding trade deal have been going on between India and America for a long time. This agreement has been broken once, but now talks have started again. However, uncertainty over this has increased due to rising tariffs and political rhetoric. On the other hand, India has recently reduced the purchase of crude oil from China, due to which America has imposed an additional 25 percent tariff on India. Due to this, geopolitical complications are also increasing in India-America relations. If the tariff war continues, India may gradually lean more towards countries like Russia and the Middle East for energy and trade, which could weaken America’s strategic position in the Asia-Pacific region.

Read this also: Rupee again in the abyss, due to these three reasons the Indian currency reached record low.

During a public event at the University of Mississippi in America, a woman of Indian origin challenged Vice President JD Vance in an open forum on immigration policy. Questioning the harsh immigration policies of the Donald Trump administration, the woman asked, ‘Why are people who have come to America following the rules, through hard work and by paying money, now there is talk of expelling them from here?’ This entire incident was captured on camera and is now going viral on social media.

What did the woman say during the program?
When the round of questions started during the programme, a woman of Indian origin stood up and said – ‘When you say that there are too many immigrants here, then who decided the limit of ‘too many’? You asked us to come here, invested our youth, our hard work, our money in this country, now you are the one who says that we cannot live here?

Vance said – ‘Less people should come, so that the social structure of the country is preserved’
JD Vance said in response that America should accept only a small number of legal immigrants. He argued that ‘uncontrolled immigration could affect the social unity of the country.’ Vance said, ‘If 100 people contribute to the country by coming illegally, it does not mean that now we should allow 1 million or 1 crore people to come every year.’

The woman asked – ‘When you yourself showed the way, why are you stopping me now?’
The woman then retorted and said that it was the American government that had assured people of the ‘American Dream’ for years. You yourself made your way to work hard, pay, and live here. Now you yourself say that we have gone beyond what is required – how is this justified?

Vance asked questions on wife’s religion
The woman also asked Vance about his interfaith marriage and whether his marriage to his Hindu wife has changed his worldview. On this JD Vance said- ‘I am a Christian and I stand by my faith. I want my wife to understand this too, but if she doesn’t want to, that’s her free will. God has given freedom to everyone.

The video of this question and answer is going viral on social media. Many users praised the woman’s courage, while some called Vance’s diplomatic response a ‘political rescue’.

US Sanctions on Russian Firms: Moscow has reacted strongly to the new sanctions imposed on Russian oil companies by the US Trump administration. Russia said that this decision of the Trump government will deal a blow to peace efforts and the country will take every possible step to protect its interests. Moscow says that whatever diplomatic initiatives were taken so far to end the Ukraine conflict, America has weakened them by taking such steps.

Tension will increase further between US and Russia

According to AFP report, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that she considered the US move to be a “decision taken in the opposite direction”, which will not help in resolving the Ukraine dispute. At the same time, Russian officials also claimed that Moscow has developed strong deterrence mechanisms to deal with Western sanctions, and in the future these mechanisms will be further strengthened in the economic and energy sectors.

In fact, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday had announced sanctions on two major Russian oil companies – Rosneft and Lukoil. Trump said that no concrete progress is being made in diplomatic talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Speaking to AFP, Trump said, “We keep talking, the talks are good, but we don’t get results.”

Tension increased due to Trump’s new sanctions

During the meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump expressed the hope that the effect of these sanctions will not last long and the war will end soon. At the same time, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that despite the sanctions, America is ready for peace talks. He said, “Wherever there is an opportunity for peace, America will be ready for talks.”

The administration of US President Donald Trump is constantly making strict rhetoric against India. Recently, the White House trade advisor Peter Navarro directly warned India that if India wants to live as a strategic partner of America, then it will have to behave the same kind. This statement comes at a time when India is continuing oil imports from Russia and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit China soon.

Navarro’s statement has further air the increasing tension between the two countries. The US alleges that India’s Oil Purchase from Russia is providing financial assistance to Moscow to continue Ukraine War.

American resentment over oil purchases from Russia
In an article written in the financial Times, Peter Navarro made serious allegations against India. He said that India is acting like a global clearing house and provides dollars to Moscow by converting Russia’s banned oil into expensive exports.

Against American strategic interests
The Trump administration believes that this step of India is against American strategic interests. For this reason, Donald Trump has imposed an additional 25% tariff on India on purchasing oil from Russia. After this, the US total tariff on India has increased to 50%, but in the meantime the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump revealed that the US itself has done 20% more business with Russia. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has already said that India is being targeted improperly.

American objection to relations with China
Not only Russia, America has a problem with India and China. Prime Minister Modi is going to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping later this month. Apart from this, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is also on a tour of India to negotiate border dispute. Navaro alleges that if India strengthens relations with both Russia and China, it can be risky for America to hand over modern weapons to America. It is clear from this statement that the Trump administration is not liking India’s strategic freedom.

Crisis on trade agreement
The conversation of the ongoing trade deal between the US and India has also fallen for this controversy. The US trade team, which was to visit India from 25 to 29 August. At present, Teen has postponed his tour. This is indicating that not only will the tension between the two countries deepen, but the trade agreement may also be in disarray. The additional tariffs imposed on India are coming into effect from August 27 and now the chances of getting relief are very low.

US President Donald Trump has issued instructions regarding enrollment and visa of international students in the universities of the country. Due to this situation, the number of Indian students in American universities is seeing a decline. Education Consultants of Hyderabad say that the number of Indian students going to America may fall by about 70 percent. The main reason behind this decline is the stopping the availability of visa appointment slots from the US and a sudden increase in the rate of visa rejections.

Sanjeev Rai of Hyderabad Overseas Consultants told the Times of India, “By this time most of the students have completed their visa interviews and were preparing for their flight. But this year, students are refreshed on the portal only in the hope of getting Visa Appointment Slots. It is only refreshed on the portal so far. This is the worst situation in the last several years.

However, US officials had said in this regard that visa slots will be released in a phased manner, but so far there is a lot of confusion in this matter and due to this, students are also very upset.

Those who have booked slots also did not get confirmation

At the same time, Ankit Jain of Window Overseas Education Consultancy said in this regard, “Students who have been able to book a visa appointment slot in the beginning, have not yet received confirmation reply. He also said that it seems as if the system of America is opening to test just to test, because even after booking, no student has got the situation now. Indian students are turning to other countries instead of studying in America.

I thought my one year would be wasted- Indian student

Regarding the US visa, a 23 -year -old Indian student said, “I could not wait anymore, I felt that my one year would be ruined. Because it seems that now the road ahead is closed, so I withdrew my impression.” The student said that now he is looking for options in Germany to do masters in automotive engineering.

Everyday, nervous students and their families’ phones- Arvind

Arvind Manduwa of the i20 Fever Consultancy said, “If visa slots are not released in the next few days, then thousands of dreams will be broken. This time we can see a decline of about 80 percent. That is why we get calls from many students and their parents every day, whose voice is clearly visible.”

Also read: The husband of a woman who was rescued with girls from cave in Gokarna opened big secrets, made these serious allegations

America on tariff: The US Trump administration has given a new ultimatum to its trade partner countries. The US has asked its trade partner countries to offer their best offers from Wednesday (June 4, 2025) to ban the reciperochl tariff again, so that their country’s trade agreements with America will continue to run well.

The US Trade Representative Office has issued a draft letter, according to which President Trump’s strategy to end the widespread trade between many countries and America is revealed. However, no release of recipients in this draft, but this draft has targeted countries with which many meetings and documents are actively discussed about transactions. In such a situation, the European Union, Japan, Vietnam and India are discussing the trade agreement with the United States.

The US launched a conversation with these countries on 9 April about the reciperochl tariff on the trade agreement, before which Liberation Day Tariff was postponed for 90 days (till 8 July). The tariff imposed by the US led to an adverse reaction in stock, bonds and money markets.

America is in a hurry to make a trade agreement

According to Reuters reports, the administration of President Donald Trump is seen in a hurry to fulfill its business agreements with the countries of the world within his deadline. Despite continuous assurances from several other senior officials, including the White House Economic Advisor Kevin Haset, many agreements are in their final stages. The US has spoken about success in compromising with Britain only one of its important ally countries. However, the US agreement with Britain has been based on future agreement rather than a decisive system.

Us visa policy: The US Donald Trump government has announced a major change in the visa policy. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has recently made a announcement that can give a new twist to the Global Digital Policy. From now on, if a foreign national in the US pressures American tech companies (Facebook, Twitter) to sensor the social media comments of Americans, then the person’s visa will be banned.

On the matter, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that if foreign nationals threaten arrest or punitive action against the comments made on any post in America, it will not be considered. If foreign government or officer demands censorship on the post done by American citizens on American social media platforms, then they will not be given a US visa.

What does the new American policy say?
According to the new American policy, freedom of expression has been considered one of America’s fundamental rights. Because of this, if any foreign officer pressures American social media firms to remove or revise the content, then it will also be the basis of visa ban. Foreign judicial action or arrest warrant will be interfered for their online statements on American citizens.

Which countries can affect?
Although no particular country was named in this statement, in recent years the European Union, Australia, Brazil, India and many Asian countries have imposed fine, notices and restrictions against social media platforms. In countries like India, when legal action is taken on political or religious comments on Twitter or Facebook and it will be found related to American citizens, in such a situation they may be prohibited from coming to America.

Global impact of American social media platform
America is owned by many social media platform firms in the world, including Meta (Mark Zuckerberg), X (Twitter) – Alan Musk, YouTube – Google. These platforms are the basis of the exchange of most digital things in the world. For this reason, the policy or legal order of any one country has a direct impact in America.

There has been news of a huge mistake from US President Donald Trump officials. In fact, the Trump administration officials accidentally shared a journalist’s intelligence information about the US attack on Yemen’s handy rebels. & Nbsp;

Some security officers and other prominent members in a group chat, who were planning to attack Yemen, were accidentally included ‘The Atlantic’ editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg. The lapse occurred when these officials used a group chat to coordinate air strikes against Huti rebels and accidentally added Goldberg to that chat, without their knowledge.

Although President Donald Trump and Defense Minister Pete Hegseth refused to confirm or take responsibility, the incident is considered a big mistake, as it included sensitive and confidential information.

After the matter came to light, the National Security Council has said in a statement that they are investigating how the number of a journalist was added to the signal group chat. & Nbsp;

 who was in group chat?

According to Jeffrey Goldberg, editor -in -chief of Atlantic, there were a total of 18 members in this group. Apart from Defense Secretary PT Hegaseth, it also included Vice President JD Vance, External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio and Tulsi Gabard, National Intelligence Director of Trump. The journalist claims that he was invited by Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Waltz to add to this group. & Nbsp;

 what was in chat?

Leaked messages show that there was a concern between some officials about the deadline for attack on Yemen. Vance, who was involved in an Economic event in Michigan, raised doubts over the decision. He says, ‘Team, I am in an Economic event today, but I think we are going to make a mistake. I do not think the President is understanding how much it does not match with his message on Europe. In addition, we are at risk that oil prices can increase significantly."

According to Atlantic, the candidate nominated for Trump’s National Anti -Terrorism Center, Joe Kent also supported JD Vance and said, ‘There is no such reason that we have to do this attack immediately. We can choose the same options even after a month. ‘

Goldberg said that he had got ‘information for the attack for hours ago’. He says, ‘I knew two hours before the bomb fell. I got this information because Pete Hegseth sent me a war plan at 11:44 pm, which had accurate information about arms packages, goals and time. The attacks started around 1:45 pm around Eastern Time and there were reports of blasts in Yemen’s capital Sana. After the operation, the authorities congratulated each other in the chat. & Nbsp;

 Pete Hegseth told the journalist fake

US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth has described the entire matter as a fraudulent journalist. However, in his statement, he did not say why the signal app was being used to discuss such intelligence and sensitive operation and how the journalists were added to that group. & nbsp; Hegseth said in his remarks on the matter, & ldquo; None of the war plans were telling in the message and all I have to say about it. & rdquo;
