Speaking to reporters, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “Trade talks are going on between India and America. This is a complex conversation. Nothing is decided until everything is fixed. Any business deal should be mutually beneficial; it should work for both countries. This will be a hurry from the business deal. Any decision will be made on it.”

NCLA sued Trump

Earlier on 3 April, the New Civil Liberty Alliance (NCLA) filed a case against US President Donald Trump. Its purpose is to prevent Trump from imposing tariffs on imported products from China. The NCLA said that Trump went beyond his authority. It is said that the case was filed in the federal court of Florida.

The NCLA prosecuted Trump for the International Emergency Economic Power Act, permission to impose extensive tariffs and to impose tariffs on 1 February. Significantly, NCLA is a non-profit public interest legal organization. It was founded in the year 2017 by Philip Hamburger, Professor of Columbia Law School.
