In view of this, the government extended the joining date to 31st December, which was then extended to 7th January.

Other AYUSH doctors are demanding their appointment

Nusrat Parveen has not yet informed whether she wants to join the job or not. On the other hand, other AYUSH doctors are on strike in Patna itself and are demanding their joining. His joining date has not come yet. The doctors sitting on strike are raising slogans and demanding appointment.

Hijab controversy started from December 15

The matter is of 15 December 2025, when appointment letters were being distributed to AYUSH doctors in Patna by CM Nitish Kumar. When Nusrat Parveen came on stage to collect her appointment letter, Nitish Kumar suddenly pulled the hijab from her face while talking to her. At that time Nusrat Parveen was shocked. Its video went viral, in which the minister and other people standing nearby were also seen laughing.

This angered the Muslim community. Besides, women’s organizations also started protesting, calling it sacrilege. All the opposition parties attacked the NDA government of Bihar. In defense of Nitish Kumar, JDU and BJP leaders claimed that the CM had removed the hijab of the woman in his capacity as a father. However, opposition parties and women’s organizations had filed a complaint with the police demanding an FIR.
