S jaishankar in quad meeting: A meeting of foreign ministers of Quad countries was held on Tuesday at the US capital Washington DC. Strategic partnership and new initiative in quad meeting
Foreign ministers of India, America, Japan and Australia insisted on deepening the mutual strategic partnership in the Quad meeting. In the Indo-Pacific sector, there was talk of measures to maintain independence, strengthen marine security and increase regional stability. After the meeting, Jaishankar described it as very productive on social media and also held a bilateral meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Launched Quad Critical Minerals Initiative
Quad countries jointly announced a new initiative, which is named Quad Critical Minerals Initiative. Its purpose is to make the mineral supply chain safe and diverse so that the four countries together can strengthen economic security and collective self -reliance. Business agreement expected
Prior to the meeting, Jaishankar had said that the Indo-US trade talks are progressing and some concessions will be necessary to find a middle way. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump said that the US can make a trade agreement with India, which will benefit American companies and face less tariffs in India. Quad Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack: India has got very diplomatic success. Foreign ministers of the Quad group along with the US, Japan and Australia have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. 26 innocent citizens were killed in this attack.

Quad leaders said, “We strongly condemn all kinds of terrorism and violence, whether it is from border or in some other form. We are fully prepared to work together against terrorism.” The statement expressed deep condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and wished the injured to recover soon. A decision of Saudi Arabia government regarding Indian Haj pilgrims has made big leaders sleep. Jayashankar has immediately appealed to talk to the Saudi Arabia government in this matter.

According to a report by the Times of India, Saudi Arabia has canceled the Meena Zone for private tour operators, while it was allot for them earlier. Mecca and Madina are two cities of Saudi Arabia, which have been described as a holy city in Islam. Passengers visit Mecca and Medina during Haj.

Meena Mecca has a tent city, where passengers stay for 4 days during Haj and some customs related to Haj are done. The Saudi government has canceled Zone 1 and 2 of Meena for private tour operators, while the payment for 3,4 and 5 has also been closed. Earlier these zones were allotted to 26 private tour operators of India, under which 52 thousand passengers were to come here.

Haj pilgrimage starts every year at a special time and at its end, Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated, which is also called Bakrid. This year Haj pilgrimage can be between 4 June to 9 June, which depends on the moon appearance.
