Initially, the basic salary is around Rs 56,100 per month when the scientist-B post is selected. With this, their in-hand salary reaches above Rs 80,000 by adding HRA, travel allowance and other allowances.

As the experience and position increases, salary also increases rapidly. Scientists get monthly salary from 1.3 lakh to 2 lakh rupees in high positions. Apart from this, facilities like government job security, pension, medical and research funding make this job more attractive.
