These things are completely banned in Taj Mahal

• There is a complete ban on weapons, knives, explosives or replica items similar to them in Taj Mahal.
• Apart from this, matches, lighter, petrol or any inflammable things cannot be taken into the Taj Mahal.
• Things like beedi, cigarette, tobacco, cigar and e-cigarette are also banned in Taj Mahal.
• Any food item or drink in plastic pack is prohibited in Taj Mahal.
• Carrying alcohol, drugs or prohibited substances is completely banned here.
• Apart from this, there is also a ban on taking religious items, flowers, garlands and incense sticks into the Taj Mahal.
• At the same time, strict rules are applicable on carrying big bags, bag packs, laptops, camera stands and tripods in Taj Mahal.
• Apart from this, there is a ban on carrying torch, public announcement system, professional video camera in Taj Mahal.
• Drone cameras are also completely banned in Taj Mahal.
• There is also a strict ban on photography inside the main tomb of Taj Mahal.

What action will be taken if the rules are not followed?

CISF and Taj security police can take action on the spot if Taj Mahal security rules are violated. Due to this, tourists have been stopped many times and sent out of the complex. Legal action has also been taken in some cases. According to the officials, no relaxation will be given for breaking the rules of Taj Mahal. If any person brings prohibited items then the security personnel can immediately detain him or hand him over to the police.

Tourists should know these important rules

• One can stay in Taj Mahal only for 3 hours at a time. If the time is exceeded, fine or token recharge is necessary.
• Apart from this, entry is available only from the eastern and western gates, the southern gate is only for exit.
• Whereas Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday.
• Apart from this, the ticket for Indian citizens is Rs 50, for foreign citizens it is Rs 1100, while to enter the main tomb, a separate ticket of Rs 200 has to be taken.

The date of August 15 is near, so preparations have started in the capital. In view of Independence Day, Delhi Police has started comprehensive security arrangements in the capital. Police Commissioner SBK Singh has issued new orders.

As per the order, from 2 August to 16 August 2025, flights of drones, para-clider, hot air balloon and other sub-commercial aerial platforms have been completely banned. This decision has been taken to ensure Delhi’s security and prevent possible threats.

Strictness in view of security

This ban has been imposed under Section 163 of the India Civil Protection Code, 2023. According to the police, some anti-social and anti-India elements may misuse these air equipment during Independence Day. This can threaten the safety of general public, important establishments and dignitaries.

Ban on these under order

This order will be applicable from August 2 to August 16, 2025. During this period, no person will be able to do activities like drone, para-motor, microlite aircraft, quadcopter, remote aircraft, hot air balloon or para jumping. Strict action will be taken under Section 223 of the India Justice Code for violating the order.

Delhi Police has clarified that this order will be applicable to all persons, whether they have been informed personally or not. It will be publicly posted on all the respective offices, such as DCP, ACP, Police Office, Tehsil Office, NDMC, MCD, PWD, DDA and Delhi Cantt Board’s notice boards.
