DSSSB Recruitment 2026: Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board i.e. DSSSB has once again given an opportunity to the candidates of DASS Grade-2 recruitment of 2009 to apply. The board has started a special application window for recruitment to 606 Assistant Section Officer Grade-2 posts. This opportunity is only for those candidates who had applied under post code 90/09 in 2009. Such candidates will have to apply under post code 804/26 to participate in the current recruitment process.

DSSSB issued notification

According to the notification issued by DSSSB, the application process has started from 17th July 2026 and candidates can apply online till 17th August 2026. The board has clarified that applications will not be accepted after the prescribed last date and no extra time will be given for this. In such a situation, eligible candidates have been advised to complete the application process on time. This special recruitment process has been started after the order of the Supreme Court on 27 February 2026. As per the instructions of the court, the eligible candidates who had applied for the 2009 recruitment have been given a second chance, so that they can participate in the selection process for 606 Assistant Section Officer posts. However, it will be mandatory for all eligible candidates to make a fresh application.

Who can apply?

Only those candidates can apply for this recruitment, who had applied under post code 90/09 in 2009. Candidates will also have to provide this certificate during the application. For this, any one document like original application form of 2009, acknowledgement, postcard, Tier-1 admit card or Tier-2 admit card will be accepted. The Board has also clarified that if a candidate has completed the maximum age limit of 60 years for government service before appointment, then he will not be considered eligible for recruitment.

Apply online like this

• To apply, first of all the candidates should visit the official online portal of DSSSB dsssbonline.nic.in. will go on.
• After this you will have to click on the special application link with post code 90/09.
• Now you will have to complete the verification process by entering the application number of 2009 and date of birth.
• After verification, you will have to accept the declaration and fill the application form for Postcard 804/26.
• After checking all the information, submit the form and save its confirmation page.
• For those candidates who are unable to apply online, the board has also provided the facility of offline application. Such candidates can fill the prescribed Annexure Form-1 and submit it along with the required documents to the DSSSB Helpdesk on working days between 17th July to 17th August 2026.

No fees will have to be paid for application

For this special recruitment process, the board has decided not to charge application fees from any category of candidates. However, candidates who are not already registered on the online application registration system will have to complete their registration before applying.
