There is good news for students who dream of studying in Delhi University (DU) and missed the opportunity to apply in the first round. The university has opened the mid-entry application window for graduation admission 2025 today, August 8 at 5 pm. This special opportunity is for those candidates who could not apply earlier or whose application was canceled for some reason. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website ugadmission.uod.ac.in by 10 August at 4:59 pm.

DU has started this process to fill the vacant seats, which are left after the initial round. The university will also release the list of these vacant seats at 5 pm today. Candidates who did not get a seat in the first or second rounds, they will be able to edit and re -submit their choice (preference).

These candidates will get a chance under mid-entry

Those who could not join the initial CSAS application. Who did not complete Phase-2 (Phase 2). Whose application was canceled due to a mistake in the problem or subject selection of documents.

Third round schedule also released

Under the third round of Delhi University, allotment results of the first round of performance-based programs (eg music, theater etc.) will be released on August 13. At the same time, the results of CW (Children/Widows of Armed Forces), ECA (Extra Curricular Activities) and sports quota will be declared on August 15. Selected candidates will be able to accept their seat between August 13 to 18, while colleges will have to check and approve the application by August 18.

How many seats and how many admissions have been made

According to the latest DU data, 71,130 admissions have been confirmed in the upgrade round so far. The university has a total of 71,624 seats, which 79 graduate programs, 186 BA Program Combination

And in other courses, 69 colleges and departments are available. According to the UGC’s academic calendar guideline, Delhi University has started the graduation academic session from 1 August. The admission process will be completed on August 19.

There is another chance for the students who were left in the first round for admission to the undergraduate course at Delhi University (DU). Several top colleges of the university are still vacant in popular courses like B.Com (Hons), BA (Honors), and B.Sc (Honors). Now the second round for these seats will start from July 28.

The second seat allotment list will be released on 28 July under the Common seat allocation system 2025. After this, students will be able to “accept” their seat online from July 28 to July 30. College will confirm all applications by 31 July and the last date for depositing fees is August 1.

Which colleges have a chance?

For those studying commerce, 5 seats of B.com (Hons) are vacant in Shri Ram College of Commerce – 4 are unreserved and 1 SC quota. At the same time, Lady Shri Ram College, which is a favorite of women students, is also available in B.Com (Hons).

A total of 50 seats are vacant in Hindu College. This includes popular courses like Physics, Chemistry and English. More than 50 seats are vacant in Kirorimal College, including 23 seats in Physics, 12 in Chemistry and other subjects. There are about 40 seats vacant in Miranda House – 14 seats in Physics, 10 in Botany and 3 seats in English.

Why are the seats vacant?

In the first round, about 44,000 students chose the option of seat upgrade, due to which many seats remained vacant. Now in the second round, students can apply for these vacant seats.

Cutoff fixed by cuet score

This time for the first time Delhi University has made public the course and college cutoff score for undergraduate admission through CUET. The highest cutoff was for BA (Hons) political science of Hindu College, where the minimum allocation score was 950.58.

There is big news for the students preparing for admission in the Post Graduate (PG) program at Delhi University. Those students can also apply in the application process released for the academic session 2025-26, in whose results “ER” means essential repeat. However, these students will have to get at least 50 per cent marks by 31 October 2025, only then their admission will be considered.

Many important things related to PG admission were shared by DU recently through a webinar. In this webinar, the students were told that the last date for application in PG courses is 6 June 2025. In such a situation, students who have not yet filled the form, should complete the process as soon as possible.

Clear instructions regarding migration certificate

A relief news for DU students is that if a student of Delhi University is applying for PG course, then he will not have to submit a migration certificate. Whereas it will be mandatory to give migration certificate to students applying from another university.

Keep these things in mind for application

Students have to use the same email ID from which they registered for CUET (Common University Entrance Test). Admission in PG courses will be done by making merit list on the basis of CUET score.

According to merit, students will be allotted seat, which will have to be accepted on time. If a student does not accept the seat, then he will be out of the Common seat allocation system 2025. Once accepted the seat, it can also be upgraded.

Take care while filling the form

In the webinar, students were also warned that if wrong information was found in any form, then that application can be canceled. Also, if a student wants to apply in more than one course, then a separate application fee will have to be paid for each course.

It is also necessary to fill the information of the bank account correctly, because if any kind of fee is refunded, then it will be sent there.

But if the 12th digits also become equal, then age is made the basis. In this, the student who will be older in age will be put forward. For example, if a student is 18 years old and the second 17 years old, then 18 years old will get preference.

Now what will happen if both 12th digit and age are uniform? In such a situation, DU resorts to lottery system. That is, luck is tried in a way and it is decided through lottery who will get a seat. This method is completely fair and there is no partiality in it.

How many colleges and courses are in DU?

A total of 79 colleges of Delhi University will be admitted to a total of 79 graduate courses based on the score of CUET UG 2025. These courses include many popular programs like BA, BSc, BCom. Apart from this, some colleges also offer diploma and certificate courses, in which admission will also be available through CUET score.
