According to a BBC report, port giant DP World announced the resignation of CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem on Friday (February 13, 2026). With this announcement the company said that it will be implemented with immediate effect. At the same time, with this announcement, the company has appointed Esa Kazim as the new chairman and Yuvraj Narayan as the new CEO. Sulayam’s photo has also been removed from the company’s website.

Affiliated institutions put pressure on Dubai company

Dubai-owned logistics company DP World, which operates port terminals on six continents and plays a key role in the global trade infrastructure, was recently facing increasing pressure from its peers. Earlier this week, Britain’s Development Finance Agency and Canada’s second-largest pension fund La Casse had announced a halt to new investments in the company.

Additionally, the Prince of Wales’s Earthshot project, which received funding from DP World, was also reported to the UK Charity Commission following Sulayem’s appearance in the new Epstein files.
