Ranbir Kapoor has done a cameo in Aryan Khan’s series ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ released on Netflix. In a scene of the series, the actor was shown smoking. Now they are trapped in legal trouble regarding this scene. The National Human Resource Commission (NHRC) has sent a notice to the Mumbai Police and complained about the matter.

Priyank Kanungo, a member of the National Human Resource Commission, said that in the notice he has appealed to register a case against Ranbir Kapoor, Production House and Netflix. He told that action will also be taken against e-cigarers, buyers, stockists and sellers.

Inspire accused of drinking e-cigarette
Talking to news agency ANI, Priyank Kanungo said- ‘We have received a complaint from an organization called Legal Rights Observatory. The complainant said that a series called ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ is going on on Netflix OTT platform. In an episode of this series, actor Ranbir Kapoor is seen drinking e-cigarettes. The complainant alleges that through this, he is inspiring the youth, especially our new generation to drink e-cigarettes. We investigated this complaint and found that under the E-Cigarette Prohibition Act in India, no person can promote e-cigarettes.

Case will also be registered on production company and Netflix
Priyank Kanungo further said- ‘It is a crime to make, buy, sell or keep e-cigarettes in India. We have issued a notice to the Mumbai Police Commissioner. We have asked them to register an FIR under appropriate sections and take legal action against this actor, this production company and this OTT platform. We have also asked them to identify these e-cigarers, buyers, stockists and those who sell and take appropriate legal action against them. We have also issued a notice to the secretary. He has asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to remove it and take action against the respective platforms.
