AI, semiconductors and data centers are going to become the biggest engines of India’s economic growth in the coming times. The government’s focus is clearly visible on domestic semiconductor manufacturing, AI-driven innovation and large-scale data center infrastructure. This will strengthen the technology ecosystem and give a big boost to high-value jobs, exports and digital sovereignty. The demand for data centers is increasing rapidly due to cloud computing, fintech, OTT platforms and advanced AI applications. The semiconductor ecosystem will provide strong support to electronics, EVs, telecom and defense manufacturing. Experts believe that with strategic investments, policy support and skilled workforce, these sectors will drive long-term growth. In the coming years, AI, semiconductors and data centers will not only increase productivity but will also play a decisive role in making India a global technology hub and innovation leader.

India’s startup story has now become not just an inspiration but a strong global economic statement. According to Avendus Wealth–Hurun India Uth Series 2025, India’s under-40 founders control businesses worth about $950 billion (₹86 lakh crore+)—which is more than the GDP of Switzerland. This list includes 436 entrepreneurs, who have been divided into under-30, under-35 and under-40 categories. These founders come from high-growth sectors like tech, fintech, healthcare, manufacturing and consumer brands. Their companies are providing jobs to more than 12 lakh people and giving real momentum to India’s economy. The special thing is that about 80% of the founders are first-generation entrepreneurs. Names like Nikhil Kamath, Ritesh Agarwal, Ghazal Alagh, Alakh Pandey and Aadit Palicha are included in the list. Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR are major startup hubs. However, the share of women founders is only 8%, which shows a big challenge of gender inclusion.

Railway Connectivity is going to begin for the first time between India and Bhutan, which is a historic step for both countries. Two new rail lines will be laid from Kokrajhar in Assam to Gallefu in Bhutan and Banarhat in West Bengal to Samatse of Bhutan. Earlier, there was a train service to Hasimara in West Bengal, but now the train will go directly to Galifu, Bhutan. A total of 89 km project will be invested ₹ 4,033 crore. The scheme will not only promote tourism, but will also give Bhutan its first Railway Connectivity. The export of Bhutanese products such as Hydropower, agricultural products and handicrafts to Indian markets will also be better. Also, this connectivity will play an important role in giving a new look to political and economic relations in South Asia. India is expanding Rail Network in neighboring countries to strengthen its strategic position amidst China’s increasing activism in Bhutan. The Agartala-Akhaura railroad between India and Bangladesh is almost ready, while efforts are on to connect Myanmar and Thailand. These efforts will help in creating new business and political relations in South Asia.
