Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today (6 September) congratulated people on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. He said that this day brings the message of love, mercy and brotherhood. Omar prayed that the teachings of the Prophet Saheb should illuminate every heart and there should be peace and peace from Kashmir to the whole country.

Shared message on social media

Omar Abdullah shared his message on the social media platform. He wrote- “Eid Milad-un-Nabi Mubarak. On this day of light and memory, teachings of love, Rahmat and compassion of our prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) should illuminate our hearts, show our deeds and unite us in peace and brotherhood.”

,

Controversy arose over the holiday

While people appeared to be immersed in the happiness of the festival, on the other hand the controversy over the holiday deepened. According to the moon, the administration flatly refused to make the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi holiday from September 5 to September 6, September 6. Omar Abdullah called the decision “intentionally” and said that it is going to hurt the sentiments of the common people.

There was an uproar last year too

Please tell this dispute is not new. In the year 2024, there was a dispute over Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. At that time the employees were called on duty and those who did not reach the office due to Namaz were absent. This time too, the resentment among the people has increased when the same situation is repeated.

Many local organizations and community leaders have said that the government should be more sensitive on such religious occasions. He says that the holiday issue is not only related to the employees but the feelings of the entire community. Therefore, it is not right to have repeated disputes about this.

The glory of the festival remains intact

Despite the controversy, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad, mosques and dargahs in Kashmir looked bright. People joined the processions and prayers. There were anchors and prayers everywhere. Everyone from children to the elderly celebrated this opportunity with love and brotherhood.

Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is the festival of Islam religion, which is celebrated in memory of the birth of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Saheb and his teachings. According to the Islamic calendar, this festival comes on the 12th of the Rabi-ul-Awaal month. This year it took place on 5 September and on this day Muslims from all over the world are celebrating it with great pomp.

Why celebrate third Eid

The importance of this day is not only because it is the day of the birth of Prophet Mohammad Saheb, but it is also believed that he also died on this day. This is the reason why it is seen in two ways in Muslim society. Some people consider it a day of happiness and celebration, while some consider it an opportunity for mourning and introspection. This is its specialty, which makes it different from other Eids.

Eid-e-Milad is very important

Prophet Mohammed was born on the land of Mecca in about 570 AD. At that time the society was surrounded by darkness and evils. It is believed that the arrival of Prophet Sahab took place to remove the same darkness and to run humans on the path of truth, equality and justice. Because of this, his birthday is considered not just a celebration, but a symbol of a spiritual message.

There is only two Eid mention in Islam

In the religion of Islam, only two Eids are directly mentioned, the first Eid-ul-Fitr, called sweet Eid, and Eid-ul-Azha, ie Eid of Qurbani. But the birthday of Prophet Mohammad Saheb is so important that it has also been recognized as Eid. This year the importance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi has increased further, as it is also an opportunity to complete 1500 years of the birth of Prophet Mohammad Saheb.

Overall, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is not just a religious festival, but to remember the teachings of faith, spirituality and Prophet Mohammad Saheb. This day reminds Muslims that the path of justice, kindness and equality is the message of real humanity.

Also read: Why the demand for dry day on the prophet’s birth anniversary, is there any such rule in the rest of Eid?

On this occasion, people go to each other’s house at the party and enjoy different types of food. This year Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on 5 September.

On this day, charity also has special significance and people remember the ideals of Prophet Mohammed.
