There is good news for those who buy electric vehicles in Odisha. The state government...

There is good news for those who buy electric vehicles in Odisha. The state government has decided to increase subsidy on electric two-wheelers. Now customers will get subsidy of up to Rs 30,000, whereas earlier it was just Rs 20,000. This change has been made under the new draft EV Policy 2025. After getting suggestions from the industry, this policy will be implemented and will continue for the next five years. Let’s know in detail.

How to get subsidy?

According to the new policy, subsidy will be given at Rs 5,000 per kWh battery capacity. Its maximum limit will be 30,000. The government believes that now electric scooters and bikes with more battery capacity have come in the market, so it is necessary to increase subsidy. Customers will get direct benefit of this and the sale of electric vehicles will also increase rapidly.

Not only two-wheelers, cars and buses also benefit

In this new EV policy of Odisha, not only scooters and bikes, but also the other vehicles will also get the benefit of subsidy. Electric cars and taxis will now get subsidy up to 2 lakhs, which was earlier 1.50 lakhs. At the same time, the government will give subsidy of up to 20 lakhs on purchasing electric bus. Trucks and three-wheelers will also come under the purview of this policy. It is clear that the government is insisting on electricing the entire transport sector.

Who will benefit people?

According to the information, only permanent people of Odisha will be able to take advantage of this subsidy. Also, every person will be able to claim incentives only once in a vehicle segment. Apart from this, the government has also announced to separate the Rs 15 crore fund for R&D (Research and Development), so that electric vehicle technology can be further promoted in the state. Let us know that in the 2021 policy, Odisha had set a target of 20% EV registration in four years, but till now it has reached only 9%. This time the government has targeted that by 2030, 50% new vehicles will be electric.

Bajaj Auto’s electric vehicle (EV) can now brake at the speed of business. Actually, this...

Bajaj Auto’s electric vehicle (EV) can now brake at the speed of business. Actually, this time the problem is not of any market or technology, but an essential raw material. Bajaj may have to cut the delivery of his vehicles in the second quarter due to lack of rare meaning magnets.

EV business growing stake

The EV segment of Bajaj Auto has progressed very fast in the last few years. Compared to last year, this year the company’s electric vehicle business has been more than 20% of its total domestic revenue. Whereas last year this share was between 13 and 14 percent. It is clear that the EV business for Bajaj has now become a big and important part.

Warning of delivery decrease

Rakesh Sharma, executive director of Bajaj Auto, recently told in a press conference that due to lack of rare economy magnets, the company will be able to deliver its electric scooters in this quarter to only 50-60%. At the same time, delivery of electric three-wheeler can remain around 70-80%. This simply means that the supply of EV vehicles in the market will be reduced considerably and customers will have to wait.

Bajaj is searching for solution

To deal with this crisis, Bajaj has now started finding a solution. The company is trying to re -designs EV motors in such a way that they can also work with light rare meaning. Rakesh Sharma said that the company aims to reduce the dependence on rare economy magnets by the end of FY 2026. Under this strategy, the company is looking for alternative supply chains and technology, so that such obstacles can be avoided in future.

Large concern on China became a big concern

Rajiv Bajaj, the managing director of Bajaj Auto, has already warned that if China stops exporting heavy rare economy magnets, India’s EV industry may come to a standstill in a few weeks. This is because the need for rare meaning magnets in the manufacture of electric motors is mandatory, and their biggest supplier is currently China. Let us know that the EV business of Bajaj Auto was still showing good growth, but this shortage in the supply of rare meaning magnets can become a big challenge later.

The Delhi government has decided to extend the existing EV Policy till 31 March 2026....

The Delhi government has decided to extend the existing EV Policy till 31 March 2026. This decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. To achieve the objective of Green Delhi, the government has increased this policy till 31 March next year. In such a situation, Delhi’s Transport Minister Pankaj Singh said that suggestions will be taken from people on the draft of the new policy, which is likely to take time.

The current EV policy was introduced by the Aam Aadmi Party during its rule in 2020, which ended in August 2023. Since then, this policy has been extended many times.

In view of the critical condition of air pollution in Delhi, the government is considering this policy as an important step, so that a clean and sustainable transport policy can be made in the coming time.

According to Pankaj Singh, the reason behind increasing the time of EV policy is that private companies, people and industry experts, environmental organizations can be discussed with all the necessary aspects.

Deadline was also increased before this

According to an HT report, the Delhi government had extended the EV policy for four months on July 15 last week. The deadline for this policy was November 15.

During this time, the officials associated with the case had told last week that the draft of the new policy is still under review, which is yet to be approved.

Now the Delhi government has once again increased the deadline of the EV policy to 31 March 2026.

Pankaj Singh says that during this extended period, the major provisions of the policy will be discussed.

CNG or Ev Pollution Comparison: Crores of vehicles are seen running daily on the roads....

CNG or Ev Pollution Comparison: Crores of vehicles are seen running daily on the roads. Most of these vehicles are running on petrol and diesel. These trains cause a lot of pollution. And this is the reason that when the winter season comes in Delhi and the effect of sunlight decreases. So to prevent pollution, the government has to implement Odd-Even. But this rule does not apply to electric vehicles i.e. EV and CNG trains.

But it is not that there is no pollution from these trains. It happens. But compared to petrol diesel, it is quite less. If you are thinking of buying a new car and want to know which vehicle does less pollution in electric or CNG. So let us tell you about both.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyvhmf3OEKO

Electric vehicle pollution?

Electric vehicles are generally said to be environmentally friendly. The electric vehicle does not even leave the smoke while driving. In such a situation, many people have to believe that electric vehicles do not pollution at all. But this is not the whole truth. Let us tell you that the batteries made of electric vehicle are used in minerals like lithium cobalt and nickel. Mining of these minerals has a serious effect on the atmosphere.

But if we talk about walking on the road, then there is no tail pipe emission in the electric vehicle. That is, neither smoke nor carbon dioxide nor nitrogen oxide and not harmful particles like particulate matter.

Also read: Which players of the Indian cricket team have done surgery, know why it needs

CNG vehicle how much pollution We do ,

Talking about CNG vehicle, then let us tell you that these petrol make much less pollution than diesel. They contain carbon monoxide and particulate matter. But they are very small. However, CNG is also not completely green. CO2 gas comes out using it.

Also read: In which ways can PF balance know, know the easiest way

Who does more pollution?

Let me tell you about pollution about both of them and told you. But it has been found in many studies that CNG cars currently spread less pollution than EV vehicles. Which is a shocking fact. Because in general people feel that CNG vehicles make more pollution than EV.

Neighboring China considers India as its largest competition in South Asia. Recently, after the trump’s Terif announcement, when many big companies including Apple have announced to shift from China to India, it is also not digesting Beijing. Now another such news has come which is going to create disappointment for Indian electric vehicle companies.

The way India is moving forward in the electrical vehicle, it is passing by China. China has implemented strict rules on its exports from the month of April, which has about 90 percent of the world’s rare meaning magnets. The result of this is now that no Chinese company can sell without taking a license and its end use certificate from the government there.

 TVS-Bajaj Motors warning

In such a situation, there has been a problem for Indian electric vehicle companies because many such rare economy containers that had left for New Delhi from China, they are still stuck there, they are not being approved.

This rare meaning magnets are used to make both electric and traditional vehicles. In such a situation, the market experts say that if the Agadar continues to stop the container from China, then there can be a big crisis for Indian companies. It is also being said that Indian auto mobile companies have stock of rare meaning only till June. India imported more than 460 tonnes of rare meaning from China in financial year 2024."Text-Align: justify;"> The biggest concern in such a situation is that no other option is visible at this time. Domestic magnet production is being promoted by the Government of India to reduce its dependence from China. But it will take a lot of time. In such a situation, it is being said in media reports that an important meeting has been called by the Ministry of Heavy Industries on June 3 i.e. today, in which an important decision can be taken regarding the production of Rare Earth Magnet.

If you live in Kerala and are planning to buy a new electric vehicle to...

If you live in Kerala and are planning to buy a new electric vehicle to save more, then this new news may surprise you. According to the new regulations, more paying will have to be paid while charging electric vehicles at night. The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission has released new regulations, which has changed the Time of Day Billing for the electric vehicle, which will cost 30 percent on charging at night.

Ev charge expensive at night

The State Electric Regulation Commission divided the method of charging into two time zones. The first time zone is called solar period, which comes between 9 am and 4 pm. EV users will be given standard rates for state charging during this time zone. On the other hand, if you are charging your EV between 4 pm and 9 am, called non -solar period, then you will have to pay 30 percent more than the standard tariff rate. It is worth noting that changes in tariffs do not apply to home charger, but applied to charging stations.

After the central government issued new guidelines regarding EV charging station, the Regulatory Commission decided to change the charge. Currently, there are three zones for Tod billing in Kerala. It is from 6 am to 6 pm, 6 pm to 10 pm and finally from 10 pm to 6 am. Later it will be kept in two zones. If you spend less than 100 to charge the vehicle at a standard rate, it will cost 30 percent. Similarly, charging EV at night costs 30 percent more than the standard tariff rate during non -solar period.

This step is being taken to reduce charging at night and promote the use of solar periods, which will have a less impact on the grid. Currently the charging stations using solar energy work more effectively during the day as they generate maximum power between 9 am and 4 pm. However, it is wasted if power is not used. The purpose of this step is to increase charging during the day. It also needs to note that most users run their EV during the day and leave it to charge it at night.

China has created difficulties for the Indian EV market. China has stopped the supply of...

China has created difficulties for the Indian EV market. China has stopped the supply of rare magnets used in electric vehicles, called Rare Earth Magnets, in India. Now these rare meanings cannot be imported from China. This export ban has come into force from 4 April 2025. China says that if India needs rare meanings, then suppliers will have to give a special certificate. Let us know what are rare meanings and why are these EV production so important?

China supplied rare rare meaning magnet

China has put a brake at the speed of India’s Electrical Vehicle Manufacturing Hub. The country has currently stopped supply of rare economy to India, which is very important to make EV and their components. CNBC tv18 of Report According to, the automobile and component manufacturers have now recommended the government to intervene in this matter. Suddenly, this ban will be a hindrance to the supply chain and EV production can be very slow.

What is China’s demand

China has also given the reason behind the closure of the supply of rare economy. China says that according to the new policy, the rare meanings will now be supplied to the countries that will provide the end-user certificate to the suppliers in the prescribed format. The Chinese government is now seeking a final-user certificate to release the export of rare economy magnets. Certificate should be supported by both the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Chinese Embassy. Importers will have to confirm that megates will not be used in weapons or no third party will be transferred.

Why rare earth magnets are so important for EV

Rare Earth Magnets plays an important role in the production of electrical vehicles. They have unique megatic strength and capacity. These megants are usually made from neodymium, iron, and boron. Megates are one of the most essential components of EV motors. They help in converting electric energy into mechanical speed and due to these, the loss of energy in this process is very low. Therefore, they are so important in creating EV.

Due to these, EV makers are able to make small, light and high capacity motor for electric vehicles. Having such motors increases the driving range of the vehicle and the overall performance of the vehicle is also improved. They also enhance the regional braking system. Since the demand for clean energy is increasing worldwide, the importance of these megants is also increasing continuously. But their global supply is very limited which is causing concern for the EV market.

Diesel Demand Growth: Demand of diesel in India was the lowest since Korona epidemic in...

Diesel Demand Growth: Demand of diesel in India was the lowest since Korona epidemic in FY 2024-25. It has increased only 2 percent. There is a shortage of economic growth behind this decline in diesel demand and a transition leading to electric vehicles (EV).

Diesel demand is decreasing gradually

Although the transportation sector has always dominated diesel, but at present, public transport and logistics are also adopting EV. In such a situation, the scope of electric vehicles is constantly increasing.

According to data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the Ministry of Oil, diesel consumption in FY 2024-25 has increased by 2 percent to 91.4 million tonnes. This growth rate is much lower than the growth rate of 4.3 percent of the previous financial year and is a small fraction of a strong growth rate of 12.1 percent of FY 2022-23. However, the share of diesel in the total consumption of oil in India is still about 40 percent, which reflects the level of economic activities in various fields.

EV’s constantly increasing scope

Industry experts believe that the growing popularity of EV is affecting the demand for diesel in India to a great extent. Even though diesel provides fuel to the three-fourth part of the transportation sector of the country, but due to the transition towards EV, its demand has been less. This growth is also less than petrol because commercial vehicles are also slowly turning to EV.

Electric buses are running on the roads in cities like Mumbai and Delhi. E-auto-rickshaws have already occupied many Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. In such a situation, the demand for diesel in public transportation in cities has reduced. Apart from this, many big companies like Amazon, Flipkart and Bigbasket are also delivering through electric vehicles. The people are adopting EV in vehicles. Due to this, the demand for diesel in the logistics sector has also reduced.
