Haryana Power Utilities (HPU) has issued an official notification for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Engineer. This recruitment is for electrical, mechanical and civil engineering areas. Eligible and interested candidates for a total of 285 posts can apply online through October 29, 2025. This opportunity is for all those candidates who want to start their career in Haryana Power Utilities.

For the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical), the candidate must have a graduate, postgraduate or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
To apply to the post of mechanical engineering, candidates must have a graduate or postgraduate degree with 60 percent marks.

Graduate or postgraduate degree with 60 percent marks is also compulsory for civil engineering posts. Also, the applying candidate has studied Hindi or Sanskrit language in higher education.

Age limit
The minimum age of candidates is 20 years and maximum age is 42 years. However, the candidates of the reserved category have been exempted. There is 5 years of age exemption for SC and BC category candidates and 10 years exemption for disabled candidates.

Application fees
The prescribed fee has also been fixed for applying. The fee for SC, BC, Women and EWS candidates is Rs 148, while it has been fixed at Rs 590 for general category candidates.

Salaries and allowances
Selected candidates will get attractive salary for the post of Assistant Engineer in HPU. The salary at the initial level will be according to the pay-scale of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 per month. Along with this, government allowances like house rent allowance, transport allowance and other facilities will also be available. According to experience and efficiency, salary and allowances continue to increase.

Selection process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of educational qualification, experienced work, and merit list. After this, eligible candidates can be called for interview or other procedure.
