The government has launched the Employment Linked Inspector (ELI) Scheme, under which the youth doing the first job will get an incentive of ₹ 15,000. This benefit will be given to 1.92 crore people, whose salary is less than ₹ 1 lakh. This amount will be given in two installments every 6 months. For this, the government has set a budget of ₹ 99,446 crore. Companies will also get a subsidy of up to ₹ 3,000 per month on every new employee. The scheme will be applicable to jobs given from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2027 and is expected to produce more than 3.5 crore jobs.
