<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>India Retail Inflation Rises:</strong> Retail inflation in the country has registered a slight increase and has reached 0.71 percent, whereas in October it was only 0.25 percent, which was the lowest level till date. This increase was mainly due to increased prices of daily essential commodities like vegetables, meat-fish, eggs, fuel and electricity.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the National Statistical Office (NSO), a decline of 3.91 percent was recorded in food prices in November 2025, which was 5.02 percent in October. This means that the pace of decline in prices has slowed down significantly. This indicates that pressure is increasing in the food sector.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Increased pressure on food items</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There has been a sharp rise in the prices of vegetables and eggs, while the continuous increase in the prices of meat, fish and spices is putting additional burden on the pockets of consumers. Fuel and electricity inflation has also increased from 1.98% to 2.32%, which impacts transportation and production costs and ultimately affects the prices of all commodities.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There was a record decline in October due to cuts in GST in some sectors, but now when factors like festive demand, supply-chain costs and increased tariffs on imported goods are coming to the fore, it is natural for retail inflation to increase gradually. The challenge for the government is to keep inflation within a comfortable range by controlling food prices and fuel costs.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Demand increased during festive season</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The burden on consumers has increased due to rising inflation in both rural and urban areas. Even though the Reserve Bank is estimating retail inflation at 2% in the current financial year, achieving this target looks challenging due to the weakness of the rupee, rising import costs and global geopolitical conditions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The rupee crossing 90 has further complicated the situation for the government and economic managers as it creates additional pressure on all three fronts – inflation, trade deficit and financial stability.</p>

There is even a saying in India that &#8216;what is sowat is khowat, what is the world is pawat&#8217;. This means that a lazy person loses opportunities whereas a hardworking person becomes successful.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">However, in Indian homes this proverb is linked to sleep, so that children sleep less and concentrate more on their studies. Many researches and reports believe that good sleep of children or students makes them more efficient in studies and their memory also remains healthy. That is why many big and prominent neuroscientists have called sleep the “hidden superpower of students”.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">MIT study: Real benefits of sleep during exams</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A study by MIT (which was published in npj Science of Learning) revealed a surprising thing that if a student takes good and proper sleep during his exam, then that student is not wasting his time but good sleep will help that student to focus on studies. Research has shown that studying one night before an exam or a long sleep is not as useful for students as good sleep for the whole month.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Singapore study: good sleep and mental health</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In a research published in Frontiers in Psychology, a study was conducted on Singapore students, in which it was found that students who get good sleep have better mental development. In those students, there is much less anxiety regarding studies, the mood remains stable and the mind remains calm. It is natural that if the mental health of a student is better then his performance in studies will also improve. If a student does not get good quality sleep, his mental health remains poor, making it difficult to perform better in studies.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Body clock and the role of circadian preference</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a research, the better performance of a student also depends on whether the student wakes up early in the morning to work or works better by staying awake at night. This is called the natural body clock or circadian preference. When a student has to study or attend classes at a time that does not match his nature, his brain does not function properly and hence his performance falls.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Carnegie Mellon report: Less gold loss</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to a study by Carnegie Mellon University, if a student sleeps less than 6 hours to improve his studies and perform well in the exam, then a “Sleep Debt” starts accumulating in his brain, due to which it becomes very difficult to perform better in studies and give his 100 percent in any work. The student&#8217;s concentration in studies, his memory and thinking ability all begin to weaken.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Power Nap: Instant Energy for the Brain</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It has been proved in many researches that if a student takes a power nap in between his long hours of study, then the brain gets instant energy. This freshens the mood, increases creative thinking and increases focus in subjects like mathematics and science. Apart from this, memory becomes stronger. Therefore, taking a power nap of half an hour in between studies is necessary for the better performance of the student.</p>

<p>Cirrhosis is a serious disease of the liver, in which scar tissue replaces the healthy liver tissue, due to which the liver is not able to function properly. Due to this disease, a wound is formed on the liver. It is one of the most fatal diseases of the liver due to which there is the highest risk of liver cancer.</p>
<h3><strong>Liver cancer prevention</strong></h3>

<li>Hepatitis B virus is the biggest cause of liver cancer. Its vaccine is given in 3 doses and gives 95% protection.</li>
<li>Drinking alcohol for a long time is the biggest cause of liver cirrhosis and ultimately cancer. Reducing or quitting alcohol protects the liver.</li>
<li>Reduce fried, sugar and high fat foods. Control your weight, walk for 30 minutes daily so that fatty liver does not form.</li>
<li>Hepatitis B/C is spread through unsafe needles or contaminated blood, which later causes cancer.</li>
<li>If you already have hepatitis, alcoholism, fatty liver or cirrhosis, get your liver checked every 6–12 months.</li>

In an interview given to a TV channel, Machado said that India can become an important partner of Venezuela and both the countries can work together in many areas after the restoration of democracy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“I want to talk to Prime Minister Modi and invite him to an independent Venezuela as soon as possible,” Machado said. He also praised India&#8217;s democratic role and said that it is very important to keep democracy strong. Machado talked about taking inspiration from the non-violent fight of Mahatma Gandhi. He said, “Keeping peace is not weakness, Gandhi showed this to the whole world.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What did you say about Venezuela&#8217;s 2024 presidential election?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Referring to Venezuela&#8217;s 2024 presidential election, he said that the opposition had won with an overwhelming majority, but the Nicolas Maduro government canceled the election. He said that he offered Maduro to leave power peacefully, but Maduro refused and started strict repression in the country.</p>
