England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series against India. England has handed over the command of the team to Harry Brook in the ODI series also. Experienced batsman Joe Root has been included in the ODI team. Whereas Phil Salt is not a part of the ODI team. England has selected 16 players for the ODI series.

A three-match ODI series will be played between India and England from July 14. The first ODI match will be played on 14th July in Edgbaston, the second ODI on 16th July in Cardiff and the third and final ODI match will be played on 19th July at Lord’s. At present, a five-match T20 series is being played between the two teams. BCCI has already announced Team India for the ODI series.

England has not given a chance to Phil Salt in the ODI team. There are three opener batsmen in the form of Ben Duckett, Tom Banton and Will Jacques. Apart from this, a new face has also got a place in the English team. Young finisher batsman James Coles has got a place in England’s ODI team for the first time. There are five fast bowlers in the England team for the three-match ODI series against India in the form of Jofra Archer, Josh Tongue, Gus Attikson, Saqib Mahmood and Sam Curran. There are two spinners in the form of Rehan Ahmed and Adil Rashid.
