Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has once again extended the last date of application for admission in class 6 in academic session 2026. Now interested students can register till 27 August 2025. Earlier, the last date of application was fixed on 28 July, which was extended to 13 August, and now the committee has made it till 27 August in view of the convenience of the students.

Who will get an opportunity for admission?

The date of birth of students taking admission in class 6 should be between 1 May 2014 to 31 July 2016. That is, only children of this age limit can apply. The committee has made it clear that students who have completed or have completed class 5 in any previous academic year will not be allowed to apply or appear in this selection examination. Therefore, before applying, students and parents should read this rule carefully.

When will the exam be done?

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) to be held for admission in class 6 will be conducted in two phases.

• Second Phase: 11 April 2026

The examination will be conducted at different centers across the country. All registered students will be issued an admit card before the examination, which will have to be downloaded from the official website.
