The hassle of PF transfer after changing job is now going to end. Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has started a new automatic transfer system, which will be fully implemented from 2025. This means that whenever an employee joins a new job, his old PF balance will automatically be transferred to the account of the new employer. Now there will be no need for any form, nor will you have to visit the old office.

What was the process before?

In the earlier system, employees had to fill Form-13. Money was transferred only after the verification process from both the old and new employers. This entire work took 1 to 2 months, and many times the claim was rejected. According to EPFO ​​data, every year lakhs of claims remained pending for a long time, due to which the employees had to suffer loss of interest.

Possibilities of fraud will be eliminated

Now this problem will be completely eliminated with the new automatic transfer system. EPFO says that this will benefit more than 10 crore employees. A senior official said that this system will be completely digital and paperless. This will not only speed up the process but also reduce the chances of fraud due to transfer on the basis of UAN.

EPFO said that this system will be completely implemented by the first quarter of 2025. The organization has appealed to all the employees to activate their UAN now, so that there is no problem in transfer.

This is how you can activate UAN

The process of UAN activation is also very easy. Go to EPFO’s member portal (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in) and click on the Activate UAN link. After that enter UAN, name, date of birth, Aadhaar number and mobile number. Verify with the OTP received on the mobile and set the login credentials. Once the activation is complete, employees can check their PF balance, claim status and KYC updates online.

EPFO is now moving towards completely digitalizing the PF system. There are preparations to make PF withdrawal automatic in the coming months. If an employee’s UAN is old, then it should be updated immediately by visiting the app or website so that the retirement fund remains completely safe and connected.

Epfo upi facility: If you work in government or any private sector and your PF is cut every month, then this news is for you. Actually, the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is now going to intensify the process of PF claim through UPI.

Labor and Employment Secretary Sumita Davra said on Monday that UPI will be integrated into the EPFO ​​system by the end of May 2025. This will benefit 7.5 crore active EPF members, whose money will be transferred to PF account immediately.

What will be the new system?

Claims up to Rs 1 lakh are already automated, now it will be faster than UPI. Apart from this, account holders will be able to link EPFO ​​account in their UPI app (eg PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm). At the same time, auto-calm facility will also be available. That is, if the member is eligible, then the money will be deposited immediately. Talking about now, it takes 3 days for claim processing, after coming to UPI, you will get money in a few minutes.

Database and pension system improvement

EPFO has created a centralized database for the first time, which will take 2-3 weeks to be fully stable.

78 lakh pensioners will now get pension from any bank (earlier only a few banks were notified).

The Centralized Pension System has been implemented on the advice of RBI.

New schemes related to employment

The budget of Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme has been increased from 10,000 crores to 20,000 crore. Youth working, existing employees and platform workers will get the benefit. Under the online PMJAY scheme, platform workers will also get free health insurance.

How long will UPI get the facility?

EPFO has prepared a proposal by taking suggestions from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). By the end of May, the UPI will be launched after front and testing. Let me tell you, till now PF was being talked about withdrawing money from ATM. It was also instructed by the EPFO ​​that the facility with ATM will start in a few months. However, now if the PF account is directly linked to UPI, then there will hardly be the need of ATMs.

If you do not have a link on the portal of UAN (Universal Account Number), Aadhaar and bank details EPFO, then you have to fill the composite claim form and submit it.

Which form to fill?

Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar) – If your Aadhaar, bank account and UAN EPFO ​​are verified on the portal, you can submit this form without the company’s attation.

Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhaar)-If there are no Aadhaar/bank details links, then submit this form and submit it to the company. To download this form, you have to go to the EPFO ​​official website.

2. Online method (from UAN portal)

If your UAN is activated and Aadhaar, PAN, bank details are verified, then you can remove PF online.

Login on UAN portal-https://unifiedportal-mm.epfindia.gov.in

Check KYC – ‘Manage’> ‘KYC’ and go to see if Aadhaar, PAN and bank details are verified or not.

Fill the claim form – Click on ‘Online Services’> ‘Claim (Form 31, 19, 10C & 10D)’.

Verify the bank account – add your account number and do ‘verify’.

Click on ‘Online Services’> ‘Track Claim Status’.

Now PF will be able to remove PF from ATM

The government is planning to bring EPF 3.0 by 2025, in which you will be able to withdraw money from your PF account with the help of ATM card. This facility will be launched soon. To get this card, you will need some important documents. These documents are- UAN number, Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank account details (IFSC code) and cancell check.
