The government has taken a big decision for PF account holders. EPFO offices in the country will be converted into ‘Single Window Service’ centres. PF account holders will benefit greatly from this change. Till now account holders had to visit their regional office to solve any problem, but now they can solve their problems by visiting any regional office.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has also given information regarding this at the inauguration of EPFO’s Provident Fund Building. He has told that EPFO offices will be changed on the lines of passport offices and a single window system will be started there. The trial of this system has been started in Delhi.

What was the rule before?

Earlier the rule was that in case of any kind of problem, the account holders had to go to the same regional office with which their institution is associated. However, after the new changes, everything in this system will be digital only. This will mean that any person will now be able to get all his work and problems solved easily by going to his nearest EPFO office. A new mechanism of EPF facility provider will be launched for those employees who face difficulty in working properly in the digital system. Their job is to help these employees in settling claims. This facility provider will act as a bridge in a way.

benefits derived from it

If any person comes back after working from outside, now his money will not be lost but he will be able to withdraw his deposit even after returning to India. For those employees whose money is stuck for years, the government will now do KYC verification for the employees in mission mode. Those who have an account or have children will be identified and their rightful money will be returned.

Mandaviya said that in 2014, where only 19 percent of the population was given social security, today it is 64 percent. After China, India is the largest country in the world, where 94 percent of the people come within the social circle in some way or the other.

What will be the difference between before and now?

Where earlier you had to go to the branch office, now you can go to any EPFO office and get this work done.

Earlier you had to trust the broker or do the work yourself, now you will be guided by the EPF facility provider to guide you.

Instead of your money getting stuck after KYC, your KYC will be done immediately with the help of digital platform.

Apart from this, under the agreement, PF deducted abroad will also be returned upon coming to India.

Also read: PAN card of these people may be closed this month, know if your PAN is also included

Often people think that if a private job employee dies while on duty, his family gets financial help only from the company or PF. But very few people know that there is also a government life insurance scheme – whose name is EDLI (Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme). This scheme is operated by EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organization). Under EDLI, if an employee dies while in service, a lump sum sum assured is paid to his nominee or legal heir. Benefit Range: Minimum Sum Assured: ₹2.5 Lakh Maximum Sum Assured: ₹7.5 Lakh And even if the employee has not completed one year, the family will still get a benefit of ₹50,000. (New Amendment – February 2025) Now the rule of “Continuous Service” has also been made easier – a gap of up to two months between two jobs will now be considered as continuity of service. Claim Process: Nominee has to fill Form 5 IF and send it to EPFO Commissioner along with all the documents. Once all documents are complete, payment is released within 20 days. Remember, your PF is not just a retirement fund but also a life insurance for your family! EDLI — A Silent Protector for the safety of your family.

The system has been announced to be implemented. Now, when changing jobs, employees will not need to take any permission from the old employer or HR. Earlier, Form-13 had to be filled and verification from both old and new employers took 1-2 months, due to which claims remained pending and there was loss of interest. In the new system, the employee’s PF balance will be automatically transferred to the new employer’s account in 7-10 days. This process will be completely verified through Aadhaar based e-KYC and e-sign. According to the new rules of EPFO, now every employee will have only one UAN (Universal Account Number) for his lifetime. The system has been updated in such a way that if an employee’s UAN already exists, creation of a new UAN will be prevented. Real-time data exchange between EPFO and employers will be possible through API integration. This will make the entire process paperless, fast and secure. EPFO says that this change will benefit more than 10 crore members across the country and the chances of fraud will also reduce.

Have you ever thought that as soon as you change jobs, your old PF money should automatically be transferred to the new account without any hassle? Now this dream is about to become reality. From the year 2025, EPFO has made preparations to implement such a system in which employees will neither have to fill any form nor wait for months. Just change the job and the money will automatically be transferred to the account of the new employer. Everything will happen automatically with one click. Let us find out how this will happen.

Balance will be transferred automatically as soon as job is changed.

The hassle of PF transfer after changing job is now going to end. Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has started a new automatic transfer system, which will be fully implemented from 2025. This means that whenever an employee joins a new job, his old PF balance will automatically be transferred to the account of the new employer. Now there will be no need for any form, nor will you have to visit the old office.

What was the process before?

In the earlier system, employees had to fill Form-13. Money was transferred only after the verification process from both the old and new employers. This entire work took 1 to 2 months, and many times the claim was rejected. According to EPFO data, every year lakhs of claims remained pending for a long time, due to which the employees had to suffer loss of interest.

Possibilities of fraud will be eliminated

Now this problem will be completely eliminated with the new automatic transfer system. EPFO says that this will benefit more than 10 crore employees. A senior official said that this system will be completely digital and paperless. This will not only speed up the process but also reduce the chances of fraud due to transfer on the basis of UAN.

With this, employees will now get these benefits

1- Time will be saved, because now the transfer will be completed automatically in a few days.

2- There will be no need to upload any document.

3- Interest will continue to be received, that is, whether the money is in transfer or in any process, there will be no loss of interest.

4- At the time of retirement, the entire amount will be available at one place, which will make financial management easier.

5- Job switching will now become easy and safe, especially for private sector employees.

EPFO said that this system will be completely implemented by the first quarter of 2025. The organization has appealed to all the employees to activate their UAN now, so that there is no problem in transfer.

This is how you can activate UAN

The process of UAN activation is also very easy. Go to EPFO’s member portal (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in) and click on the Activate UAN link. After that enter UAN, name, date of birth, Aadhaar number and mobile number. Verify with the OTP received on the mobile and set the login credentials. Once the activation is complete, employees can check their PF balance, claim status and KYC updates online.

EPFO is now moving towards completely digitalizing the PF system. There are preparations to make PF withdrawal automatic in the coming months. If an employee’s UAN is old, then it should be updated immediately by visiting the app or website so that the retirement fund remains completely safe and connected.

Also read: Where is your PAN card being used, you can find out in a minute like this

PF Rules: All the employed people in the country. Almost everyone has a PF account. Every month a part of the salary is deposited in this fund so that it can be used when needed. Till now people used to withdraw money from their PF account shortly after leaving the job. When there is a wedding or construction of a house or you need money for any important expense.

But now the employees will have to wait a little. The rules for PF withdrawal have been changed by the government and EPFO. This change will affect millions of employees who use provident fund as an emergency fund. Know the new rules.

Earlier, PF money could be withdrawn like this

According to the earlier rules, if an employee left the job, he could withdraw the entire money from his PF account after two months. This rule was for those who had not joined any new job. Many people used this money for personal purposes like marriage, building a house or repaying loans.

Also read: Thinking of giving Diwali gift, FASTag annual pass is a completely new and great choice.

EPFO had also given permission for early withdrawal in such cases with certain conditions. This means that the employee could withdraw his PF balance 60 days after leaving the job. This process could be done both online and offline and usually the money was credited to the account within a week.

Now what is the change in the new rule?

According to the new rules in PF accounts, now after leaving the job, the employee will be able to withdraw money from the PF account only after one year for marriage, construction of house or any personal need. This means that now you will have to wait not for 2 months but for 12 months. EPFO believes that this step will give people the habit of saving for the future and will help in using the funds for the right purpose.

Also read: Keep these things in mind while wearing fringe on Diwali, it will not get spoiled, you will also get rid of the hassle of buying a new one every year.

However, in cases like emergency medical need or permanent disability, the facility of immediate withdrawal will remain as before. The purpose of this change is to maintain the PF account as a long-term security. So that the employee is left with sufficient amount at the time of retirement.

EPFO New Rules: All the employed people in the country. Almost everyone has a PF i.e. Provident Fund account. Every month, employees deposit 12 percent of their salary in it and the same amount is also deposited by the company. In this way, every month a fixed amount is reserved for the future of the employee.

On which good interest is also available. This amount becomes financial support for them after retirement or after leaving the job. But now the Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO has made changes in one of its major rules. Due to which people will take more time to withdraw PF. Know about the new rules.

Now we will have to wait for so many months

Earlier if a person left the job. So after being unemployed for two months, he could withdraw his entire PF balance. That means, full withdrawal facility was available within just two months. But now EPFO has changed this rule and extended this period. Under the new rule, now a member will have to wait for full 12 months after leaving his job.

Also read: Due to festive season, platform tickets will not be available at these stations including Delhi and Mumbai – see the complete list here

Only then will he be able to withdraw the entire amount from his PF account. However, in case of unemployment, permission for partial withdrawal i.e. withdrawal of 75 percent amount will remain as before. EPFO says that this change has been made so that employees do not compromise on their pension and future financial security. Earlier people used to withdraw the entire money as soon as they left the job. Due to which pension eligibility was affected.

It will be easier for employees

EPFO has also simplified the process related to PF withdrawal. Earlier, when an employee retired or wanted to withdraw his money after leaving the job, he had to submit many types of documents for this. It was necessary to submit identity proof, bank details and other documents along with the application. Now this will not have to be done under the new rules.

EPFO says that this change has been made keeping in mind the convenience of the employees so that they can get easy access to their money after retirement or unemployment.

EPFO New Rules: Crores of employees in the country have PF accounts. In these, a fixed amount is deposited every month on which interest is also received. After retirement, people can withdraw the money deposited in their PF account. Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO has now changed the rules for this.

With this step, retired people will not face any problem in withdrawing money. Rather, the process will become easier and safer than before. How will retired EPFO employees benefit from the new rules? What is this new change? Let us tell you the complete information.

What does the new rule for PF withdrawal say?

For all the PF account holders in the country, it has now become easier than ever to withdraw PF after retirement. Earlier, employees had to submit many types of documents to withdraw money. But now under the new rules this will not have to be done. That means members will be able to withdraw their money without providing any document or reason. According to the current rules, if a person is unemployed for one month.

Also read: Due to festive season, platform tickets will not be available at these stations including Delhi and Mumbai – see the complete list here

So he can withdraw up to 75 percent of his EPF balance. The remaining 25 percent can be withdrawn later. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that this change has been made keeping in mind the convenience of the employees and their financial security after retirement. The new rule has not only simplified the withdrawal process but has also increased transparency.

It will be necessary to maintain minimum balance

Employees will have to keep at least 25 percent of the amount in their EPF account as minimum balance. This is so that members continue to get the benefit of 8.25 percent annual interest and compounding. Earlier people used to withdraw the entire money as soon as they left the job. Due to which his pension duration was broken. Minimum ten years of service is required for pension.

According to EPFO, this change will not only provide financial security to retired employees. Rather, they will also get the benefit of interest and long-term stability.

EPFO New Rule: Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has changed the deadline for premature final settlement of provident fund and pension accounts. Now the rules have become stricter than before. Under this, EPFO subscribers can now apply for final settlement only after 12 months of leaving the job, whereas earlier this deadline was two months. Similarly, now pension withdrawal will be allowed after remaining unemployed for 36 months.

What are the rules now?

At present, if a member is unemployed for at least one month, he can withdraw up to 75 percent of the EPF balance from his PF account. Under Article 69(2) of the EPF scheme, a member who remains unemployed for two consecutive months is allowed to withdraw his entire EPF balance.

Regarding EPF withdrawal, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that in case of job loss, up to 75 percent of the amount in the Provident Fund can be withdrawn immediately. The remaining 25 percent amount, which has been fixed as the minimum balance, can be withdrawn after one year of leaving the job. He said that keeping in mind the convenience of the members and their security after retirement, it has been decided to make partial withdrawal simple and liberal.

Why is it important to maintain minimum balance?

Barring special circumstances, at least 25 percent minimum balance will have to be maintained in the EPF account so that the members continue to get the benefit of high interest rate and compounding, which is 8.25 percent annually.

This is also an advantage

One advantage of this change is that earlier members had to give reasons for partial withdrawal such as being unemployed or any natural disaster or closure of a company or institution, etc. Now members will not have to give any reason or submit any documents along with the application. This has made partial withdrawal much easier than before.

Why was this change considered necessary?

Earlier, if an EPFO subscriber remained unemployed for 2 months, he could withdraw his entire PF and pension amount. Now when he gets a new job and then joins EPFO, he faces problems in the matter of pension. Actually, for pension it is necessary to have at least ten years of job experience. Now when people withdraw all the money after losing their first job, it breaks the cycle. Since the tenure of both the previous job and the new job cannot be added, one has to complete ten years of service again in the new job. In such a situation, if someone remains unemployed not just for one or two months, but for the entire 12 months, then he will be allowed to withdraw the entire amount of PF, understanding that he needs the money.

Rules regarding pension amount also changed

In the meeting of the Central Board of Trustees of EPFO, Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also decided new rules regarding pension amount. Similarly, now the pension amount will also be able to be withdrawn in 36 months instead of 2 months. This means that now people may have to wait longer than before to withdraw PF money. This will also fulfill the financial needs and there will be no worry about financial security after retirement.
