This feat has been done by former great West Indies batsman Sir Everton Weeks. This record was made by Sir Everton Weeks in the year 1948, which no one has been able to break till date. However, former Indian great batsman and head coach Rahul Dravid came close to achieving such a feat, but missed out on equalizing by a century.

In the year 1948, Sir Everton Weeks scored centuries in 5 consecutive innings. His journey of centuries came to an end in the Chennai Test against India. Weeks missed completing his sixth century by just 10 runs. He had scored centuries in four consecutive innings against India, but Weeks was run out before scoring his fifth century.

Weeks’ sequence of centuries was broken due to run out.

It was almost certain that Sir Everton Weekes would score his sixth consecutive century in the Chennai Test against India. He was batting bravely and getting closer to his century, when one throw changed everything. During this, the run out suddenly ended Weeks’s sequence of centuries. However, this run out did not have much impact on the match. West Indies won by an innings and 193 runs, defeating India in the entire match.
