Murree Brewery, named after the hill town of Murree in Pakistan, was started during the British era. This is the oldest and largest liquor company of Pakistan. The company produces many beverages like beer, whiskey, vodka and juice. Mari Brewery has been operating for decades in an Islamic country where alcohol is illegal for everyone except non-Muslims.

Trade deficit during this period came to $154.99 billion. The April-June quarter of FY 26 saw a boom in exports due to strong demand for energy, electronics and agricultural-based products. Export of petroleum products almost doubled to $ 883 million, while electronic goods increased three times to $ 521 million. Export of biological and inorganic chemicals increased by 16.3 percent to $ 335.1 million and the export of gems and jewelery led to a 72.7 % jump.
