PCB File Complaint to ICC on Fakhar Zaman: Pakistan’s new drama has started after the defeat of India in Asia Cup Super-4. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has complained to the ICC about a catch in the Super-4 match. The PCB believes that Pakistan’s batsman Fakhar Zaman was not out and the third umpire has given this batsman wrong. On this matter, PCB has again knocked on the door of the ICC.

Fakhar Zaman, Out or Not Out?

The PCB has filed an official complaint from the ICC regarding Fakhar Zaman’s catch. According to the report of Dunya News, the Pakistan Cricket Board feels that TV umpire Ruchira Palliyaguruge has given the wrong out to Fakhar Zaman. In the third over of the India-Pakistan match, wicketkeeper Sanju Samson caught a catch off Hardik Pandya and appealed to Fakhar Zaman’s dismissal. This decision went to the third umpire, then it was checked whether Samson caught the catch correctly or not.

The TV umpire saw Sanju Samson caught catching from two angles. It was known from one angle that the ball jumped into the gloves of Sanju Samson, while the other angle showed that Sanju had caught the ball properly. Finally, Ruchira Palliaguruga dismissed Fakhar Zaman. This opening batsman of Pakistan was unhappy with the decision of the TV umpire and the PCB has complained to the ICC about this decision of the umpire. Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board went to the ICC with a complaint of Andy Picroft.

Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for 15 runs in 9 balls. This player hit three fours. Pakistani captain Salman Agha, who came to the press conference after the match, said that the umpire may also make a mistake and I think that ball fell in front of the wicketkeeper, it may also be that I am wrong. Salman further said that the way Fakhar was batting in the powerplay, we could reach the score of 190. I think the ball was touched from the ground, but the decision of the umpire is the last.

Pakistan adopted a new maneuver

The Pakistan team adopted a new maneuver for the Super-4 match against India. Till now Sam Job was coming to bat for the Pak team, but he was dismissed on ‘Zero’ in all three matches of Asia Cup 2025. In this match, Job was sent to third place by giving a new beginning. In his place Fakhar Zaman started the innings with Sahibzada Farhan.
