The investigation of the car blast that took place on November 10 near the Red Fort in Delhi has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Officials gave this information on Tuesday. The needle of suspicion regarding this entire incident in the car is pointing towards a terrorist attack. So far 13 people have died in this incident.

The key clue so far is that the car belonged to a doctor from Kashmir, who is allegedly linked to a terror module caught in Faridabad, a city neighboring Delhi a few days ago.

Case registered under UAPA

Delhi Police has registered a case against this entire incident under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). This law is usually used in activities that threaten national security.

Umar was a resident of Pulwama. Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, arrested after the Faridabad module was exposed, was also a resident of Pulwama. Umar is missing after his arrest in Faridabad. Heavy explosives have been recovered in the raid in Faridabad.

Was Umar driving the car?

The i20 car that exploded in Delhi was probably being driven by Umar Un Nabi. The officials have given this information to the media on the condition of anonymity. The explosion in the car took place near the signal, during which the speed of the car is said to be very slow. In this entire accident, police said, while locating the owner of the car, Faridabad connection was revealed. Officials say that it took a lot of effort to reach Omar. The car is registered in the name of a person named Salman. He had sold this car to a person named Devendra. Both have been detained. Devendra told that this car was sold to a person named Tariq. Here, investigating officers say that when we were searching for Tariq, we came to know that the car was last owned by Umar.

Delhi blast How did you get the Faridabad link?

In fact, the police had identified Dr. Umar Un Nabi as one of the key operatives associated with the recovery of approximately 2,900 kg of explosives and inflammable substances from Dhauj and Fatehpur Tagan villages of Faridabad. Umar had brought explosive material from a rented room in Faridabad and used it in Delhi.

Umar was working as a doctor in Al-Falah Medical College, Faridabad for the last three years. This is the same institute where Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, arrested in the Faridabad terrorist module case, also worked. Apart from this, another doctor arrested in the same case, Adil Ahmed, former senior resident of Government Medical College, Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, had played an active role in planning the Lala Qila operation. Police are scanning the CCTV to find out clues related to them, so that they can know whether they had gone to Delhi together to set up the ammonium nitrate plant.

Here, according to Faridabad’s Assistant Police Commissioner Varun Dahiya, “This network is very big. It is being thoroughly investigated. The police is finding out how long Dr. Umar Un Nabi was working in Faridabad and with whom he was connected.”

Apart from these, investigators said that Umar and Shakeel had rented two houses in Dhauj for ₹ 1,200 and ₹ 1,400. Both of them had also deposited a security deposit of two months each. Both of them used to store explosive material together.

Apart from these, investigators are trying to find out whether the explosion in the Red Fort was caused by some device fitted in the car, which exploded by mistake. Due to the intensity with which this explosion occurred, high intensity explosives were used. Till now, Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested 6 people including three family members of Omar Un Nabi in the raid. For the last five days, Jammu and Kashmir Police has raided dozens of houses.

According to a Times of India report, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Police have recovered about 2,900 kg of explosive material along with rifles, pistols and bomb making equipment in a joint operation. This action was taken after the arrest of 35-year-old Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, who was a professor in the medical department at Al-Falah University.

The investigating agencies have recovered explosives, 20 timers, batteries, remote controls, 5 kg heavy metal, and walkie-talkie sets packed in 12 suitcases from Shakeel’s rented room. In the initial investigation, the police suspect that the university’s laboratories may have been used to make high-grade explosives like RDX.

Question on university and trust

Al-Falah University was established in 2014 and was approved by the UGC in 2015. The university is run by the Al-Falah Charitable Trust and is spread over approximately 70 acres in the Dhauj area of ​​Faridabad. It has received A grade from NAAC and many professional and academic courses are offered here.

However, on November 11, the investigating agencies arrested the university’s Chancellor Jawwad Ahmed Siddiqui, who is also the head of the same trust. This arrest raises serious questions on the activities of the Trust. Siddiqui is also said to be the owner of several private companies like Al-Falah Investments and Exports. Interestingly, even in the year 2000, his name had appeared in a financial scam.

Possible connection to Dubai

Investigation has also revealed that the wires of this network may be connected to Dubai. Usama Akhtar, associated with the Trust, who is a member of the Governing Body of Al-Falah School of Engineering, is currently living in Dubai. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is involved in the interior fitting and textile business. The agencies suspect that an attempt may have been made to carry out activities in India while sitting in Dubai through financial transactions and networking.

After the arrest of Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, serious questions have been raised on the activities of Al-Falah University and the trust associated with it. Now the investigating agencies are trying to find out whether the university was used as a base for manufacturing explosives related to terrorism, and whether its links extend abroad – especially Dubai.
