Protect crops from heat by building ridges

For protection, plant tall crops like maize or pigeon pea around the ridges of your farm, which will act as a natural windbreaker and prevent hot winds from entering the field. Further, as soon as monsoon arrives, make a recharge pit near the dry borewell, filter the rain water and pour it into it, which will increase the water level again.
