Special Feature: I grew up amidst uniforms and sarees. Being the daughter of a Navy officer, the flow of my childhood had a sea-like flow as well as a pause. My mother was a school teacher. I always saw her in saree and learned from her how to handle responsibilities with dignity and balance.

My grandmother was the wife of an army officer. For them too, saree was a symbol of pride and self-confidence. Whenever maternal grandfather was transferred, maternal grandmother stayed in different parts of the country. From every new place she brought with her the textures and colors of that place. Gradually, sarees from different regions became a part of their life. Every saree of Nani told a story about where she had lived and what she had brought back from there.

My love for sarees increased after seeing my grandmother and mother. Over time this attachment transformed into a deep connection with my own roots.

Before starting ARS (Aishwarya Ray Sarkar), I used to work as a stylist. There I learned that whether it is life in front of the camera or everyday life, clothes create their own identity everywhere. This experience sharpened my vision. Also, it helped me understand the nuances and dignity of sarees.

ARS is dedicated to my same legacy. Every collection here is thoughtfully prepared, so that the whole world can connect with and appreciate this rich tradition of India. Our aim is not just to cherish the tradition, but to take it forward with pride and ease.

During Diwali, celebrities from Bollywood and business world shine. This time, Reliance Industries Chairperson Nita Ambani hosted a grand Diwali party on October 17 at her luxurious home ‘Antilia’, where the younger members of the family won everyone’s heart.

During this time, Nita Ambani’s granddaughter Adia (Isha Ambani’s daughter) and granddaughter Veda (Akash Ambani’s daughter) surprised everyone with their cuteness. Neeta called her little angel ‘Lakshmi’, which seemed absolutely appropriate on this festival of Diwali.

Videos and photos of the party are going viral on social media, where these little princesses are looking so cute in ethnic outfits that seeing them automatically brings a smile.

The view of the party was no less than that of a royal palace. Antilia was decorated with colorful lights, flower garlands and lamps. The aroma of sweets and the tunes of traditional music were present in the air. Nita Ambani wore a graceful look in a purple colored saree, in which golden embroidery and heavy jewelery gave her a royal touch. However, Adiya and Veda stole the limelight.

Just two year old Aadiya had dressed up in pink lehenga. She looked like a little angel in the small floral embroidery on the lehenga and matching bangles. Nita Ambani picked up Adia in her lap and said, ‘My little Lakshmi has arrived!’ This moment was captured on camera.

Veda did wonders in the green lehenga. This little doll of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta wore small earrings and anklets with the lehenga, which tinkled with her every step. Veda also danced with Nita Ambani in the party. His video is creating a stir on social media.

Nita Ambani also called Veda as ‘Meri Lakshmi’ and both of them sang a small Diwali song together. Rest of the family members also did wonders in ethnic wear. Isha Ambani looked glamorous in her dress while Shloka Mehta showed her elegant style. At the same time, Radhika Merchant’s look was also amazing.
