Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created history in Qualifier-2 against Gujarat Titans. The record of being the fastest Indian batsman to score 1000 runs in IPL has been added to the name of Vaibhav. He crossed the mark of one thousand runs in the 23rd innings of his career. He has achieved the feat of completing 1000 runs by playing not only the fewest innings but also the fewest number of balls.

Before the Qualifier-2 match, Vaibhav had scored 932 runs in his IPL career after playing 22 innings. He completed one thousand runs as soon as he scored 68 runs against Gujarat. He left Sai Sudarshan behind in the fastest time to complete 1000 runs. Sudarshan, who had completed 1000 runs in 25 innings.
