Today, Sunday (26 October), on the second day of Chhath Puja, devotees will keep fast for the whole day in Kharna. Many leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah have extended best wishes for Chhath. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">PM Modi posted on Instagram today and wished everyone a happy Kharna Puja of the great festival Chhath. He respectfully saluted all the fasting people. PM Modi said that on this auspicious occasion, a symbol of reverence and restraint, there has been a tradition of receiving satvik prasad along with kheer prepared from jaggery. <p style="text-align: justify;">Rock salt is also called Himalayan rock salt or Lahori salt. This salt originates from the rocks formed after the sea dries, that is, it is made in a natural way. This salt is used directly without processing more. It contains minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron, which are beneficial for the body. The color of rock salt is slightly pink or light brown, and its test also looks light and some sweet-spicy. It is easy to digest, as well as it helps to maintain the balance of electrolytes in the body, besides it is beneficial for muscles and bones, as well as good for skin and hair. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What is simple salt ie table salt?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Table salt is the same salt that we use in food every day. It is made from sea water or mineral sources and is prepared by processing it. During this processing, many natural minerals are removed from it. Iodine is specially mixed in table salt, which is necessary for the thyroid gland. If there is a deficiency of iodine in the body, then there may be problems related to Galgand or Thyroid. In such a situation, due to too much sodium, blood pressure can increase and consuming high amounts can cause heart diseases. Also, kidney can be affected. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Which salt is right to eat daily?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you are suffering from iodine deficiency or there is a thyroid problem, then table salt is necessary because it contains iodine. If you are struggling with blood pressure, kidney or heart problems, rock salt can be a better and natural option. At the same time, many health experts believe that it can be beneficial to include rock salt in a limited amount of daily food, but sometimes table salt should also be used for iodine. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Climate activist and teacher Sonam Wangchuk, who was leading the ongoing hunger strike demanding state status to Ladakh, ended her 15 -day hunger strike on Wednesday. His decision came at a time when there were incidents of violent demonstrations and sabotage in Leh, which made the situation tense.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Appeal to young generation<br /></strong>Sonam Wangchuk said that he was very sad to see the violence in Leh. He said that violence was not only of some supporters, but the results of the feelings of the whole of Ladakh. He described it as the &#8216;Bhadas&#8217; of the younger generation and a kind of generation-Z revolution, which brought them to the streets. Wangchuk clarified that there is no democratic platform today and he appealed to the younger generation of Ladakh not to follow the path of violence, otherwise their efforts for the last five years would fail.</p>

He reiterated that the younger generation followed the path of peace so that the purpose of the movement could be fulfilled and the demand for Ladakh to get full state status could move forward in a peaceful manner.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>The main demands of the protesters<br /></strong>There are four major demands of protesters in Leh and Ladakh: Ladakh should be given full state status, constitutional security should be ensured under the 6th Schedule, separate Lok Sabha seats should be made for Kargil and Leh, and recruitment of local people in government jobs.</p>
<p>The next meeting on these demands will be held in Delhi on 6 October. Remember, after the removal of Article 370 and 35A in the year 2019, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were made two separate union territories. At that time, the government had also assured that if the situation is normal, Ladakh will be given full state status.</p>
