During the wedding season, videos related to fights often go viral. One such video is going viral from Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a marriage broke down when a young man from the groom’s side beat up the bride’s pet dog. Within no time, a minor argument turned into a fight and the matter reached the police station. After which at last the bride refused to marry. This incident is being reported from the guest house of Khaga Kotwali area where the bride’s family had come from Prayagraj, while the groom’s side had arrived with the wedding procession.

Relationship broken due to beating of dog before marriage ceremony

According to the incident going viral on social media, the initial rituals of the marriage were completed peacefully. Other rituals were going on there. Meanwhile, the bride’s pet dog, which was tied at some distance, started barking. Angered by the noise of the dog, a youth from the groom’s side beat the dog. The bride’s side protested against this, after which the argument escalated into a fight. According to the people present at the wedding, even sticks and chairs were used. Two to three people from the bride’s side suffered head injuries, while one or two people from the groom’s side also suffered minor injuries. After this uproar, the police reached the spot and stopped the wedding rituals. The injured were sent to the nearest hospital for treatment. The next day both the families reached the police station, during interrogation in the police station the bride clearly said that she no longer wants to do this marriage. After this, the gifts and cash given in the transaction were returned and the matter was closed with mutual consent. However, no party filed a formal complaint regarding this matter.
