In this too, eggs are extracted by stimulating the ovaries, but instead of freezing them, they are fertilized with sperm in the laboratory and an embryo is prepared, which is then implanted in the uterus. According to IVF experts, IVF can help in blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, ovulation disorders and age-related fertility problems.

Why does age remain the biggest factor?

According to Dr. Doctor, fertility starts decreasing gradually after 30 years and rapidly after 35 years. Doctors advise that if pregnancy does not occur even after 12 months of trying, or if the woman’s age is more than 35, then consultation with a fertility specialist should be taken only after 6 months, so that the right decision can be taken at the right time.

One important thing to understand here is that egg freezing and IVF are not competing alternatives to each other, and neither one is inherently “better.” Egg freezing may be appropriate for a woman who wants to preserve her reproductive options for the future, while IVF may be the right path for couples who are trying to conceive while struggling with infertility.
