Tamil Nadu also had a decline trend. In Tamil Nadu in 2013, where birth registration was 11.9 lakhs, which was reduced to 9.4 lakhs in 2022.

Who ahead in sex ratio

Talking about the sex ratio, unfortunately many of these states are struggling with poor sex ratio. Despite the huge birth rate in Bihar, 891 women per thousand men are one of the lowest sex ratio in the country. Similarly, this sex ratio in Maharashtra is 906, Telangana 907, Gujarat 908, 916 in Haryana. At the same time, Nagaland has 1068 sex ratio which is the highest in India.
