But Green had started doing the math for a century long ago, when equal runs were required for victory and Allen’s century.

After 12 overs, Kolkata’s score was 104 runs for 2 wickets. 39 runs were needed to win and Finn Allen was playing on 61 runs. Cameron Green was at the crease after scoring 29 runs. Green was on strike, he just wanted to take a single and give the strike to Allen. After this, Allen hit 3 sixes on 3 consecutive balls of Vipraj Nigam. Even in the 14th over, Green went to the other end with one run on the first ball. Allen again hit 2 sixes in this over.

Allen broke many records

Earlier, Allen had scored 110 runs in 6 innings. Allen has become the second New Zealand player to score a century in IPL. He also became the batsman to score the fastest century for Kolkata Knight Riders. He became the fourth batsman to score a century for KKR.
