State Women Welfare and Child Development Minister Baby Rani Maurya had a narrow escape in a road accident in Nasirpur police station area on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on the night of 23 October in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Now their PRO Ashish Singh has filed a case against UPEDA (UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority) officials. After which there has been a stir.

In this accident on the expressway, the official Fortuner car of Minister Baby Rani Maurya collided with an uncontrolled truck, in which she narrowly escaped. In the FIR, serious allegations of negligence have been made against the truck driver as well as UPEDA officials.

What was the whole matter?

Let us tell you that Minister Baby Rani Maurya was going from Hathras to Lucknow on the night of 23 October. Due to diversion in Naseerpur police station area on Agra-Lucknow Expressway, traffic in both directions was moving from the same direction. The tire of the truck running in front of the minister’s vehicle suddenly burst, due to which it went out of control and collided with the Fortuner.

The car was badly damaged, but the guard and staff including the minister did not suffer any serious injuries. As soon as the information was received, police and officers reached the spot and sent the minister to Lucknow in another vehicle.

PRO filed FIR

Minister’s PRO Ashish Singh has filed a case in Nasirpur police station on Sunday. In which UPEDA officials have been accused of negligence and inadequate and unclear signage at the diversion site. The drums on the road were dark blue, discolored, and had no warning boards or reflective signage. The truck driver is also accused of driving in poor condition.

Minister also expressed concern

Minister Baby Rani Maurya herself expressed concern about the accident on the expressway, she said that such carelessness is putting the lives of the general public in danger, UPEDA officials should show seriousness.

The victim claims that the attackers slapped him 26, abused him in one and a half minutes and broke his mobile phone. The video was allegedly made viral on the college groups and social media by the accused, due to which the summit is mentally hurt and has stopped going to college.

Fir And legal action

The Chinhat police filed a case under Section 351 (2) (assault), 352 (nuisance), and 351 (3) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of Mukesh. Sho Dinesh Chandra Mishra of Chinhat police station said that CCTV footage and viral videos are being examined. The Lucknow police confirmed on its official X handle that interrogation of all the named accused has started and action will be taken soon.

Could not go to college since June

Shikhar told that he had a knee operation in June, due to which he did not go to college for two months. From August 8, he was joining regular classes. On August 26, his friend was on the campus with Soumya Singh Yadav, when Jahnavi and his colleagues beat him hostage in a car. Shikhar said that my chat was deleted to humiliate me and the video went viral. The Amity University administration said that a committee has been formed to investigate the incident and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
