There was a sensation in Madhuban Bapudham police station area in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night when bike-borne assailants opened fire on the car of BJP councilor Sheetal Chaudhary from Ward 9. Sheetal Choudhary narrowly escaped this attack. As soon as the information was received, all the BJP leaders and police force reached the spot. The police later sent the councilor to his home with security.

At the time of the incident, Councilor Sheetal Chaudhary was returning alone from a relative’s house in Dadri. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, BJP councilor from Shivanpura Ward 9 Sheetal Chaudhary was returning to Ghaziabad from her relative’s place in Dadri. At around 8:30 pm, his Creta car was coming from Govindpuram towards Sanjaynagar in Madhuban Bapudham police station area. Bike riders wearing helmets opened fire. One bullet hit the rear mirror and one on the side. Both the mirrors were completely damaged, while the councilor was not injured.

Sheetal Chaudhary immediately informed Madhuban Bapudham police station and BJP leaders. On which the police swung into action, registered a case and started investigation, while two BJP MLAs Sanjeev Sharma and Ajit Pal Tyagi also reached the spot.

Instructions to catch the attackers

BJP MLA Sanjeev Sharma termed this attack as cowardly and said that the entire party stands with Sheetal Chaudhary. He assured the family of safety. Whereas Ajit Pal Tyagi directed the police to quickly reveal this matter. Said this is a very serious incident.

Police started action

ACP Surya Bali Maurya said that four teams have been deployed to uncover the incident. CCTV and forensic teams are investigating. The accused will be arrested soon. He told that the councilor has been sent home under police protection.

Police Appeal: Give Dasakam footage

The Hamilton Police has requested the citizens to share the CCTV footage of their car in or around the upper James Street and South Bend Road area between 7:15 am to 7:45 pm on Wednesday evening.
