The situation in the South-East Asian country Thailand has become very bad due to floods and landslides. The number of people who died due to natural disaster in the country has increased to 145, out of which a total of 110 deaths have been recorded in Songkhla province of Thailand alone. These natural disasters have had a widespread impact on the large population of Thailand. In this, 12.5 lakh houses and more than 36 lakh people have been affected.

In this difficult time, the people of the country are very angry due to the negligence of the government. The disaster of floods and landslides in Thailand has come at a time when the country is already facing difficult problems like economic recession, decline in tourism and tension on the border. In such a situation, people’s anger towards the government is increasing.

PM implements emergency law in Thailand

Admitting shortcomings in Thailand’s flood management, a government spokesperson said, ‘Mistakes have been made and the government cannot deny this. He said that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul had announced the imposition of emergency in Songkhla province on Tuesday (November 25, 2025). Along with this, he also implemented emergency law to speed up relief and rescue operations. Whereas Thailand’s Disaster Management Minister had to walk out after being surrounded by questions being asked during the press conference.

According to news agency IANS, Thailand’s government spokesperson said that the water level is expected to go below the river banks by Thursday evening. If the water level goes down, it will make rescue operations easier and the government will be able to start a large-scale cleaning campaign.

9 areas of southern Thailand badly affected due to floods

Quoting the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, news agency IANS said that monsoon floods have badly affected nine provinces in the southern region of Thailand. Due to which 2.20 million people of Thailand have been affected.

Sri Lanka is going through a very difficult phase these days. Heavy rains that have continued for several days have submerged large parts of the country. Floods and landslides have completely halted people’s daily lives. According to the latest government report, 56 people have died so far and more than 600 houses have been badly damaged. 60 people are missing due to floods in Sri Lanka.

According to the report of Al Jazeera, the situation is said to be most serious in the central mountainous areas of Sri Lanka. Landslides are frequent occurrences in tea production areas like Badulla and Nuwara Eliya, causing great distress to the families living there. Many houses were buried under mud and contact with many villages was lost. The maximum damage has been seen due to floods in these two districts.

Government imposed ban across the country

In view of the continuously worsening situation, the administration has taken a big step. The government has announced that all government offices and schools will remain closed for the time being. The water level of rivers and reservoirs is above danger, so people have been advised to go out of their homes less.

Roads broken, railways stalled

Many main roads have been closed due to landslides and water logging. At some places, debris accumulated on the railway tracks, due to which many trains had to be stopped. Traffic between the capital Colombo and remote districts has almost come to a halt.

Air Force and Navy engaged in rescue operation

With the help of helicopters, those people who are stuck on the roofs of the houses are being evacuated. Naval teams are taking the families trapped in the flood to safe areas through boats. Many villages are still submerged in water, due to which relief work is going on continuously.

Three people died due to car being washed away

A car slipped into the river in the strong current of water in the eastern district of Ampara. When the rescue team arrived, the three people present in the car could not be saved. This incident further increases people’s fear of how dangerous floods are.

Next two days are very important

The Meteorological Department has warned that there is little chance of the rain stopping and the situation may worsen in the next 48 hours. There is a danger of landslides in new places. The government has appealed to the people to stay in high places and take full precautions.

A strong earthquake of 6.4 magnitude occurred in Sumatra island of Indonesia on Thursday. Earthquake tremors were felt near Aceh province. According to the Indonesian Meteorological, Climate and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), the depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers. Earthquake tremors were felt in many nearby areas, but it is a matter of relief that officials have said that there is no danger of tsunami.

The shock of the earthquake was felt not only in the affected area but also in the surrounding areas. The tremors were so strong that houses and buildings shook. Due to fear, people came out of their homes and gathered in open places.

Indonesia struggling with floods and landslides
Indonesia is seriously struggling with natural disasters these days. Just a day before the earthquake, more than 24 people had died in flash floods and landslides caused by torrential rains in North Sumatra province. Due to continuous rains, the embankments of the rivers broke and due to the hilly areas being filled with mud, the relief teams are not able to reach the 11 affected cities.

Bakhri (SC) assembly constituency of Begusarai district is once again at the center of political...

Bakhri (SC) assembly constituency of Begusarai district is once again at the center of political contest in Bihar assembly elections. Situated on the banks of the Gandak River, this area is known for its dense population, fertile soil and agriculture-based economy. The sandy-loamy soil here is considered ideal for the production of paddy, wheat, maize and pulses, while milk production and small scale industries are important sources of income for the local people.

The total population of Bakhri Assembly is about 4.83 lakh, which includes about 2.95 lakh voters. Of these, male voters are 1.54 lakh and female voters are 1.40 lakh, while 9 voters are from the third gender category. This area is SC reserved, hence 20 to 25 percent votes of the Dalit community are considered decisive in this election.

Floods destroy thousands of acres of crops every year.

Due to the majority of rural areas (about 85 percent), the problems here are mainly related to farming. Every year the flood of Gandak river destroys thousands of acres of crops, causing huge losses to the farmers and migration of a large number of labourers. Apart from this, irrigation, employment and flood control have been permanent election issues of this region.

CPI won this seat 11 times

The history of Bakhri Assembly has been interesting from the political point of view. Elections have been held 17 times so far in this constituency, formed in 1951. Among these, the dominance of the Communist Party of India (CPI) remained for a long time. CPI has won here 11 times, including eight consecutive wins from 1967 to 1995. In the initial phase, Congress also won thrice in 1952, 1957 and 1962.

BJP registered victory from this area for the first time in 2010.

For the first time in the year 2000, RJD broke the streak of the Left, but in both the elections of 2005, CPI made a comeback. In 2010, BJP won this area for the first time, while in 2015 RJD won. In 2020, the Grand Alliance left this seat for CPI and party candidate Manoj Kumar defeated BJP by only 777 votes.

This time BJP is again trying to break into the Left stronghold, while CPI is active to preserve its support base. The role of Dalit voters and who is more effective on rural issues will decide in whose hands the historical stronghold of Bakhri goes.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday (September 24, 2025), crying about the economic situation of his country, appealed to the IMF managing director Christalina Georgree for mercy. The country, which always cry about the economic situation, has made an excuse for flood this time. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has urged the IMF to take into account the economic situation of his country before the review of the IMF on Thursday (September 25, 2025).

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday (September 24, 2025), “Whatever commitments are being done with the Pakistan International Monetary Fund (IMF), continuously fulfilling them, but IMF is urged to take care of the damage caused by the recent floods in his upcoming review.”

UNGA Shahbaz Sharif commented during the 80th session

Shahbaz Sharif made this comment during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. The 7 billion bailout package given by the IMF i.e. Expended Fund Facility (EFF) is to be reviewed on Thursday (September 25, 2025). The fund was approved in May 2025. This review will assess Pakistan’s performance for the 2025 March-June quarter.

There was a second review about this in August, but Pakistan had failed to achieve three targets. The Finance Ministry had stated in its financial report that no provincial government could achieve the target of savings of 1.2 trillion Pakistani rupees. At the same time, Pakistan’s total fiscal deficit was 5.4 percent (6.2 trillion rupees) of GDP, below the target of 5.9 percent of the IMF.

Imf 50 conditions were placed in front of Pakistan for bailout package

The IMF laid around 50 conditions under the Bellout Package, some of which are reviewed on quarterly and annual basis and the approval of the next $ 1 billion installment to Pakistan depends on these.

A report by Pakistan’s brokerage house topline securities claimed that Pakistan is on the way to fulfill all the seven quantitative performance norms (QPC) set by the IMF.

Pakistan’s Information Department issued a statement

According to Pakistan’s leading media group Dawn, the Pakistani Information Department (PID) issued a statement after a meeting between Prime Minister Shahbaz and Georgiya. It said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif urged in the meeting that it would be better if IMF reviews the impact on Pakistan’s economy due to the recent floods. According to PID, Georgiya expressed her condolences to all those affected by the floods.

Pakistan of Pakistan And regarding the devastation caused by the floods in the villages of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistanis claim that India has released water towards Pakistan, due to which the flood was flooded.

Pakistani YouTuber Soheb Chaudhary spoke to the people of Pakistan on the flood situation in the country, relations with India and the negligence of Shahbaz Sharif government. The Pakistani Awam said that first India said that it will not give us water and now he left water. He is doing all this for his benefit.

What is Indus Water Treaty?
This Pakistani man is talking about Indus Water Treaty, which was suspended by India after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. Under this treaty, Pakistan is controlled on the Indus, Jhelum and Chenab rivers and India on the Sutlej, Ravi and Beas river. India has the right to use the water of these rivers, but only 20 percent of the water is able to use India, Pakistan uses 80 percent. The water of these rivers goes through India to Pakistan.

They alleged, ,India stopped water first, now China will release water towards India, then India will release water towards us. Earlier, he was saying that he would not give water, but not given water yet. Had to leave. Not left for your meaning. It used to do the same as earlier, after storing all the water, when the mind left the water. He is making dams, collects water there, but our government does not do anything.,

Pakistani Awam told India enemies
The Pakistani man said that every year the issue of water becomes that India sometimes reduced water and sometimes left water, India, China and Pakistan should sit to solve it, but this will not happen because India is our enemy, the real enemy. He said that in the common public, India and Pakistan are also good. Our relationships are not getting well due to the rulers, but more because of the Government of India because they say unbroken India. Just like Israel wants not Greater Israel, exactly the same plan has been done by India.

Pakistanis also get angry over Shahbaz Sharif government failures
Another Pakistani said that there are 36 states in India and there are only four in Pakistan, yet seven villages are submerged in water here. He said about his government that there are some people who are enemies of the country. They do not want the country to progress. Eat money, make NGOs. Money will come for the flood, 30 will be invested out of it and 70 will eat themselves. That money does not reach the people.

He said that this metro has been made, by giving tickets of 20 rupees, they take a tax of 40 rupees. We needed electricity, water, education earlier. Clothes are torn and we have worn 10 thousand rupees.

The Pakistani person said that the government made all this, ate money in it. The government created such a big project for its corruption. These are not national level development, not national, but we are national. There are so many people standing in a compartment that there is no place to have a foot. Tell me how this metro goes into Khatare after a year.

Delhi is currently struggling with a serious flood crisis. The water level of the Yamuna river was recorded at 205.91 meters on 6 September 2025, which is 0.58 meters above the danger mark (205.33 m). This means that the water of Yamuna has crossed the danger limit and water has been filled in many low -lying areas. The report of the Central Water Commission states that Yamuna is still in the Severe Flood Situation.

The situation in many parts of the capital like Mayur Vihar, Kashmiri Gate, Akshardham, Uttam Nagar, Jahangirpuri and Mukherjee Nagar is worrying. People have been kept in temporary shelter by putting tents in many areas along the banks of Yamuna. More than 70 families are now living in tents on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. Talking about rain, this year, Delhi has received 52 percent more rainfall than average, due to which the water level of Yamuna is continuously increasing. In such a situation, let us tell you what to do if you have flood water near your house too.

What to do if you have come near your house?

In many areas of Delhi, water has entered inside the houses. Especially in places which are in low -lying areas or near drains. If you also live in such an area, then some important steps and helpline numbers can be useful for you.

1. If you have started filling water in your house, then immediately shift with the family to a high and safe place.

2. If there is water in the house, then turn off the electrical equipment and cut the power supply from the main switch, so that there is no risk of current.

3. Keep your essential medicines, identity cards (Aadhaar, PAN etc.), mobile charger, power bank, some clothes and food and drink in advance in a bag.

4. Due to filling water, mosquitoes increase, due to which there is a risk of diseases. In such a situation, use mosquito nets and keep the body covered.

These are the helpline numbers to help in Delhi flood conditions

1. If you are trapped in a disaster like floods, or someone needs immediate relief and rescue, then call the Delhi government’s disaster management helpline 1077. This is a 24×7 helpline, that is, you can call it at any time. Whether someone needs a temporary shelter, needs food and water, or a rescue operation at some place, help can be found by calling this number.

2. If your area is flooded, sewer overflowing, or water drainage has stopped, then you can call the helpline of Delhi Jal Board 1916. This helpline is for problems like waterlogging, sewerage blockage, and tank overflow. After calling, you will get a reference number through SMS, so that you can track what action is being taken on your complaint. If you want, you can also download the mobile app of Delhi Jal Board, from where you can file a complaint and follow-up.

3. If there is waterlogging in your area, the road is broken, the drains are open, the garbage is not being cleaned, or the street light is not working, then you can register all these complaints by calling 311. The number 311 acts like a complaint portal, from where your complaint is delivered to NDMC, MCD, PWD, Jal Board or concerned department. Apart from this, some municipal corporations also have 311 apps, from which you can send a photo and complain.
