Us Shooting: Two people died in a shootout on Thursday (April 17) at the US Florida State University (FSU). Officials said that at least five people were injured in this firing. These injured have been admitted to the hospital. The police have apprehended a suspect.

Police say that those who were killed in this attack were not students of university. The health department said that the condition of some injured is critical. On Thursday afternoon, the university issued a warning, stating that the student union is firing and the police is taking action on the spot. Immediately after this, ambulance, fire brigade and police vehicles ran towards the university.

Donald Trump’s statement came out

US President Donald Trump said that he had received complete information about the firing. According to Reuters, he said, “This is a very sad incident. It is sad that such incidents happen.”

Lockdown installed at university

As soon as the news of a gunman was found near the Student Union at the Tallahasi campus of Florida State University, the entire campus was immediately closed (lockdown). More than 42,000 students study in this campus.

Canceled classes

All the classes and programs of the university were canceled on Thursday for caution. University officials asked those who were not on campus, do not go there and stay away from that area. If someone needs help, they should call 911 or contact the police of Florida State University.

Florida Governor Ron Desantis also expressed grief over the incident, saying, “Our prayers are with the FSU family and the state police is investigating the incident.”

Emergency alert was issued throughout the university. In this, students, teachers and other staff were asked to stay in a safe place. In the first message, the university wrote, “Police are on the spot or are going to reach soon. Close all the doors and windows and do not go to them.” Later, it was also said in the alert that all people should stay inside till the next information.
