Three employees of a hotel in Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh died during treatment in Gwalior after allegedly consuming poisonous food. Meanwhile, the condition of 5 others remains critical. Officials gave this information on Tuesday (December 9).

He told that the condition of the employees is critical. Of them, three are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Government Medical College and two are on ventilator. There is no improvement in their condition at present.

What did the officials say on the matter?

Officials said that 8 employees fell ill on Monday (December 8) night after eating food at the local Gautam Resort. He was first admitted to Khajuraho government hospital and then to the district hospital, but there was no improvement in his health. After which he was referred to the Medical College in Gwalior.

Chhatarpur district administration has confirmed the death of 3 employees in a statement. Immediate financial assistance of Rs 20,000 each has been approved for the families of the deceased. According to the statement, the deceased have been identified as Pragilal Kushwaha, Girija Rajak and Ramswaroop Kushwaha.

Administration sent poisonous food for investigation

After the incident came to light, the administration has sent the allegedly poisonous food for investigation. Dr. Roshan Dwivedi of Chhatarpur District Hospital said that 8 people from Khajuraho who fell ill after consuming poisonous food, were admitted here on Monday (8 December) night.

Civil surgeon Sharad Chaurasia gave this information

Civil Surgeon Sharad Chaurasia said that in view of the serious condition of the patients, they were sent to Gwalior for better treatment. Vinod Srivas, a relative of the deceased Girija Rajak, while talking to PTI in Gwalior, said that all the employees had dinner on Monday afternoon and after half an hour everyone’s health started deteriorating.

He said that first everyone was taken to a hospital in Khajuraho and then admitted to the district hospital in Chhatarpur, but despite this there was no improvement in their health, so they were referred to the medical college in Gwalior.

Civil surgeon confirmed the deaths of 3

Civil Surgeon said that 3 people died here and the condition of 5 remains critical. Dr. ML Mahour, senior officer and doctor of Gwalior Government Medical College, said that 8 patients had come to Gwalior from Chhatarpur, out of which 3 died and 5 are admitted.

He said that out of these, 3 are in ICU and two are on ventilator. The condition of all of them remains critical. The bodies of those who died have been sent for post-mortem. He said that the cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem, but the initial information has come to light. According to him, all of them have become victims of poisonous food.
