Foreign Minister S. regarding India-Pakistan relations and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) in Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Jaishankar has given a big statement. Jaishankar said that just as there are good terrorists and bad terrorists, there are good military leaders and some not so good leaders.

S. Speaking to Hindustan Times on Saturday (December 6, 2025), Jaishankar said, ‘The reality of the Pakistani Army has always been clear to India and many of our problems also arise from there.’

Jaishankar spoke on the question of India’s diplomacy

On the question of India being diplomatically stuck, Jaishankar said, ‘Look at the condition of Pakistan, look at its differences, its capabilities and also its respect and reputation. We should not get too attached to it. Yes, there are some issues and we will deal with them accordingly.

We have to follow some rules and norms: Jaishankar

On the question of India using some different methods during Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar said, ‘The kind of country we are, we have to follow some rules and norms.’

He said, ‘I look at it two ways. As far as India is concerned, we do some things and some we don’t do. That’s why we are India. We have rules, we have some standards. If we take any step then in this country we are accountable to the public, to the media and to the civil society.

What did Jaishankar say on Putin’s visit to India?,

Foreign Minister S. on the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India. Jaishankar said, ‘It is very important for a country like India to have major relationships in good condition.’ He said, ‘For a country like ours, which is a big country, which is emerging and which is expected to play an increasingly important role, it is important that the special and important relations that we have should be strong. We should maintain good cooperation with as many countries as possible and we have the freedom to choose our options, so in short this is what is called foreign policy.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Friday (10 October 2025) raised questions on the working methods...

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Friday (10 October 2025) raised questions on the working methods of the United Nations. He said that everything is not well in the United Nations. The External Affairs Minister emphasized that a sitting member of the United Nations Security Council has given protection to a terrorist organization. He stressed the need for accountability and reform in global institutions.

Foreign Minister raised questions on the functioning of UN

The External Affairs Minister also criticized those who compare the victims and perpetrators of terrorism in the name of global strategy. He made this comment pointing towards the tendency to weigh India and Pakistan on the same scale, especially in the context of the recent terrorist attack. He said in an event organized on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations that everything is not well in the UN because the debates in the UN are now very divided and its functioning clearly seems to be at a standstill.

Jaishankar took Pakistan to task

“Any meaningful reform is being blocked through its own process,” he said. Maintaining the United Nations and seeking its reconstruction is clearly a major challenge before the world. Few examples illustrate the challenges facing the United Nations more than its response to terrorism. When a sitting member of the Security Council openly defends the same organization that has claimed responsibility for a barbaric terrorist attack like Pahalgam, what effect does this have on the credibility of multilateralism?

“Putting victims and perpetrators of terrorism in the same category makes the world more condemnable,” he said. When those who call themselves terrorists are protected from sanctions, questions arise about the honesty of those involved. Pakistan is currently a member of the United Nations Security Council. In July he was the president of this top global organization. The Council has 15 members, of which the five permanent members are China, France, Russian Federation, Britain and America.

TRF had taken responsibility for Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Ten temporary member states are elected by the United Nations General Assembly for a two-year term. The presidency of the United Nations Security Council is held by each member by rotation for one month. The Resistance Front (TRF), affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist group, had claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The role of TRF in the Pahalgam attack was mentioned in the UNSC report in July.

According to officials, Pakistan had tried to remove the mention of TRF from the UN Security Council press statement condemning the Pahalgam attack. S Jaishankar said that the United Nations has failed to resolve the burning issues. He said, “If maintaining international peace and security has become a mere lip service, then the situation of development and socio-economic progress is even more serious.”

‘Must support UN in times of crisis’

He said, “The slow progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Agenda 2030 is an important yardstick to measure the crisis in the Global South. Apart from this, there are many other parameters, be it trade measures, supply chain dependence or political dominance. “Yet we cannot lose hope on such a remarkable anniversary.”

“No matter how difficult the challenges, the commitment to multilateralism must remain strong. No matter its flaws, the United Nations must be supported in this time of crisis,” he said. The SDGs are a set of goals set to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.

India on Tuesday (October 21, 2025) has announced a major change in its embassy located in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that India will upgrade its political presence in Afghanistan from a technical mission to the level of a full embassy. This step is part of India’s growing engagement with the Taliban government. However, India has not yet given formal recognition to the Taliban regime which returned to power in August 2021.

This announcement has been made by the Indian Foreign Ministry at a time when Taliban Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaki had recently completed his tour of India. Muttaki’s visit was the first time for any senior Taliban leader to visit India. External Affairs Minister S. after talks with Aamir Khan Muttaki in Delhi on October 10, 2025. Jaishankar had said that India will upgrade its diplomatic role in Kabul.

India had called back its officials after the return of Taliban.

It is noteworthy that after the return of Taliban to power in the year 2021, India had withdrawn all its officers from Afghanistan and also closed all its missions. But, in June 2022, India sent a technical team led by a middle-level diplomat to Afghanistan and re-established a limited diplomatic presence in Kabul.

External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar has made a big statement on Sunday (October 5, 2025)....

External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar has made a big statement on Sunday (October 5, 2025). Jaishankar said that the Laxman lines of New Delhi should be respected in any trade agreement between the two countries. He also said that efforts are being made to find a shared basis in this regard.

Jaishankar admitted in a dialogue session of a program in New Delhi that there are some issues between India and the US and many of them are associated with not finalizing the proposed trade agreement.

We have not been able to reach any agreement for our business talks- Jaishankar

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that it is necessary to make an understanding about trade between India and America, because America is the largest market in the world. However, he also clarified that the Laxman lines of India should also be respected. He said, ‘Today we have some issues with America. One of the major reasons for this is that we have not been able to reach any agreement for our business talks till now and due to not reaching there, some charges have been imposed on India.

Inappropriate levy on buying fuel from Russia- Jaishankar

Jaishankar Kautilya was speaking in a discussion on the form of foreign policy in the Economic Enclave. During this, he said, ‘Apart from this, there is a double fee, about which we have publicly said that we consider it very inappropriate. This fee targets us for buying fuel from Russia, while many other countries are also doing this. They also include those countries which have a more conflict relationship with Russia than at the present.

Us It is necessary to make business understanding with- Jaishankar

The relations between New Delhi and Washington have been under severe stress since the US President Trump doubled the fee on Indian goods to 50 percent. It also includes 25 percent additional fee on the purchase of Russian crude oil from India. India termed this action of America as unfair, unwanted and irrational.

Jaishankar said, “Whatever it is in the end, it is necessary to create a business understanding with America, because it is the largest market in the world and also because most of the countries of the world have made such an understanding with America.” He said, ‘But it should be an understanding in which our basic boundaries, our Lakshman lines can be respected. In any agreement, there are some things on which you can interact and there are some on which you cannot talk.

India’s approach is absolutely clear- Jaishankar

Jaishankar said that India’s approach is absolutely clear. He said, ‘I think we are absolutely clear about this. We have to find that land and talks have been going on since March.

India and the United States have resumed talks on the recently proposed trade agreement after a few weeks of gap. The Foreign Minister also said that the stress in relations is not affecting every aspect of the conversation. He said, ‘There are problems, issues, no one can deny it. Those issues require negotiations, discussions and solutions and this is what we are trying to do.

He further said, ‘I will really refrain from finding anything implications about it more than issues. I think I also want to say that a large part of the relationship is either running as before or in some cases is going on more than before.

It also read: ‘Russia is damaging Ukraine’s infrastructure’, Jailonski accused Putin

In such a situation, India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had gone to China to participate in SCO meetings in the last two months. However, it is not yet clear whether Prime Minister Modi and President Jinping will hold a bilateral meeting during the SCO Summit or not. It is expected that Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the top leaders participating in the SCO Summit.

PM Modi went to China in 2018 last time

Prime Minister Modi last came to China to attend the SCO summit in June 2018. At the same time, Chinese President Xi Jinping went to India for the second informal summit in October 2019. However, in eastern Ladakh, there was a tussle between the two countries due to deadlock on the border. The military deadlock in eastern Ladakh began in May 2020 and in June the same year, there was a serious tension in the relationship in the Galwan Valley.

In 2024, Modi-Jinping met in Kazan, Russia

The deadlock was effectively ended after the process of returning soldiers from the last two conflict points of Demchok and Depsang under the agreement on 21 October last year. It was decided to resume various dialogues in a meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Jinping on 23 October 2024 in Kazan, Russia.

This meeting of Modi-shee was held between India and China two days after the agreement to withdraw soldiers from Depsang and Demchok. The two sides took several initiatives to reinforce the relationship, including to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and re -start tourist visas to Chinese citizens from New Delhi. The two sides are also discussing the methods of resumption of direct flight services between the two countries.

Iran joined the group in 2023 and Belarus in 2024.

During the monsoon session, Congress MP Manish Tiwari, while talking to the media at the Parliament complex, said, “I hope that the Indian government will respond with courage and firmly to the threats of Donald Trump. Donald Trump’s derogatory comments will hurt the dignity and self -esteem of 140 million Indians. I hope that the government will show courage to respond by putting eyes in the eyes of the trump.”

Manish Tiwari said, “It is very unfortunate that this type of hated language is being used by the President of the world’s most powerful country in international discourse. Now the time has come to openly challenge this frequent threats and misconduct.”

Congress MP Manish Tiwari said, “It has been a historical tradition of India that it stands firmly and firmly against anything that is in danger of its national interests.
India’s strong reaction to Donald Trump’s threat

A few hours before the comments of Congress MP Manish Tiwari, India on Monday (August 4, 2025) gave a sharp reply to the US and the European Union criticism, calling their allegations unfair. These allegations were made by India for the purchase of crude oil from Russia. India rejected the criticism of the US and the European Union, pointing to double criteria and said, “The US and the European Union themselves continue business relations with Russia.”

The Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said in a statement, “Like our case, this business is not a national requirement of any kind (America and European Union). Europe-October trade is not only energy, but also fertilizers, mining products, chemicals, iron and steel, machinery and transport equipment and as far as America is concerned, it is Uranium Hexaphyloride for its nuclear industry from Russia. Imports the palladium, fertilizer and chemicals. ”

The ministry said, “If we look at trade with the US and EU with Russia, it is unfair and unprovoked to target India in this backdrop. Like any major economy, India will also take all necessary steps to protect its national interests and economic security.”

On Wednesday (July 30, 2025) during the monsoon session of Parliament, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar gave his speech in the discussion about Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha. During this, Jaishankar clarified that there was no phone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi between 22 April and 16 June.

In the Rajya Sabha, the Foreign Minister said, “… I want to tell him, he should open his ears. From April 22 to June 16, there was not a single phone call between President Trump and Prime Minister Modi.”

Clear the country’s policy on ceasefire with Pakistan

In addition, S.K. Jaishankar also reiterated India’s clear policy regarding mediation in India-Pakistan affairs. He said, “Any kind of conversation with Pakistan will only be bilateral and if Pakistan wants to stop the struggle, it will have to be requested in a formal way through DGMO.”

He said, “When the operation vermilion started, many countries were in contact at that time, who wanted to know how serious this situation is and how long it will last. If you want to stop, Pakistan will have to make a request in a formal way and that request can only come through DGMO. “

Jaishankar said to stop Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan

In addition, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar targeted the Congress by speaking on India’s decision to stop the Indus Water Treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack in the Rajya Sabha. He said, “The Congress party is uncomfortable with history.”

Jaishankar pointed to the Congress’s mistakes regarding the management of the Indus Water Treaty in the Rajya Sabha and stressed how important the agreement was. He said, “India’s Indus Water Treaty is a unique agreement with Pakistan in many ways. I do not remember any other agreement in the world in which a country has allowed its major rivers to flow towards another country without taking rights.”

He further said, “I want to remind the history of this development. On Tuesday (July 29) I heard that some people are uncomfortable with history. They want all the things of history to be forgotten. Maybe she will not be good for them, they like to remember only some good and special things.”
