Bhojpuri folk singer Neha Singh Rathore has given a sharp reaction to the FIR registered against her and the ever increasing legal action through her new song. In this song shared on social media platform X, Neha openly expressed her frank opinion and took a dig at the police and administration. The very beginning of the song raises questions on society and administration – “Kashmir se Kanyakumari tak bayar ba, Deshwa mein hamara pe daraj ba baar baar…”.

In the song, he has said, “Sir, get FIR done on every conversation, leave it to threaten the daughters and daughters-in-law” and also questioned the attitude of emphasizing on women – “How manly is it to emphasize on women…”. Neha made it clear in her statement that she is neither going to run away nor back down from her views. He said that if the state government wants to arrest him, he is ready for it.

After this, Neha accused the central government on social media of doing politics on the basis of caste and religion and highlighted the failure of the security agencies. Arshad Madani on Udaipur Files: The petition filed against the film ‘Udaipur Files’ in the Delhi High Court was heard on Wednesday. On behalf of Maulana Arshad Madni, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, senior advocate Kapil Sibal made arguments before the bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Aneesh Dayal. Court directive – The entire film should be shown to the petitioner
The Chief Justice clarified that freedom of expression does not mean that religious sentiments were hurt. He directed that the petitioner’s lawyers should be screened for the entire film so that it can be decided whether there is some objectionable left in the film.

Arshad Madani expresses satisfaction, next hearing tomorrow
Maulana Arshad Madani said that the court proceedings were satisfactory. He also said that the censor board and the filmmaker accepted our objections and claimed that the disputed scenes have been removed from the trailer. He hoped that after the screening, the court would give a decision that will maintain the dignity of the Constitution and respect the religious sentiments of Muslims.

Mallikarjun kharge attacks PM modi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government, calling him the biggest threat to democracy and constitution. Kharge raised serious questions about Parliament, Election Commission, freedom of expression, media and justice system. He said that today “undisclosed emergency” is in force in the country, where the ruling party is trying to crush the soul of the Constitution. Targeting PM Modi, Kharge said – “The people of the country who save the constitution and Congress party are not those who have been burning the constitution made by Babasaheb.”

Freedom of expression: The University of Houston of Houston has given clarification about the controversy arising on its curriculum called ‘Live Hindu Religion’. The university said that it gives importance to academic freedom and teachers are given complete freedom to consider complex and sensitive topics. This statement came when a student objected to the content of the syllabus and called it ‘Hinduphobic’.

Following the complaint of the student, the Dean of the University and the Director of the Department of Religious Studies reviewed it and discussed the subject with the teacher. The university clarified that this course is based on the principles of religious studies in which specific terminology is used to understand different religions and their traditions. The university said that words like ‘Fundamentalism’ are used to explain the historical and social processes of all religions and not for criticism of any religion.

Professor Aaron Michael Ulleri, who taught this course, also reacted to the controversy. He said that his aim is to explain different forms of Hinduism and not limit it in any one definition. He insisted that his syllabus widely covers the historical and social aspects of Hinduism, which includes a journey from its origin to the present.

Professor Ulleri clarified that Hinduism incorporates many different traditions and beliefs. He said that the word ‘Hindu’ was not found in Indian Sanskrit literature in ancient times but it developed as a geographical and cultural identity. He also said that ‘Hindutva’ emerged as a political ideology in 1922 and its historical aspects are impartially taught in the curriculum.
