Process of making frozen peas

Preparing frozen peas starts with selecting the best quality peas. First of all, peas are peeled and graded according to their size so that uniform grains are seen in the packet. After this comes the most important step which is called blanching. In this, peas are boiled in hot water for a few minutes and immediately put in cold water.

• By blanching, the natural green color of peas remains and its enzymes die so that it does not spoil.
• After drying the peas, it is frozen using Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) technology at a temperature of -18 degrees or less.
