Petrol Diesel Price: The prices of petrol and diesel have increased only in the last month. Due to which the burden on the public has increased considerably. The increase in fuel prices has not only led to operational inflation but has also increased the prices of everyday items. The public still fears that fuel prices are going to increase further in the coming days. Meanwhile, the government has made some other plan to reduce the burden of the public a little. Government is helping
In fact, to stop the impact of inflation on the people, the government itself is paying crores of rupees to the oil companies (OMCs). So that the prices of petrol and diesel do not increase for several days. According to the report of news agency PTI, the government is giving about Rs 1.23 lakh crore to oil companies, so that there is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for 78 days.

Government sources also told PTI that the Fertilizer Minister has demanded doubling of the fertilizer subsidy of Rs 1.77 lakh crore fixed for the financial year 2027. This step has been taken at a time when the government is struggling with rising subsidies and energy costs in different sectors.

Subsidy on LPG cylinder reduced
On Monday, the Central Government reduced the number of subsidized LPG cylinders given every year to the beneficiaries of ‘Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana’ from 9 to 4. The government says that this change has been made according to the average consumption of families. Under this scheme, launched in 2016, beneficiaries initially got 12 subsidized cylinders of 14.2 kg each every year, but later the quota was reduced to nine and now the number has been reduced to four.
