India’s telecom sector has made rapid progress over the years. The scope of the country’s 5G network has increased rapidly. The Central Government launched the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme (TTDF) scheme (TTDF) scheme about three years ago to increase collaboration between research and development (R&D) in 5G and 6G technology.

Minister of State of Communications, Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that under the TTDF scheme, 5G and 6G technology have been given R&D and Rs 304 crore funds for innovation. Projects associated with R&D approved under this scheme are from one to five years. These projects are in the initial stage of development. In the TTDF scheme, financial assistance is being provided to government and private institutions as well as various projects related to MSME and Startups.

Along with this, Chandrashekhar said that the Telecom Department (DOT) has developed the financial fraud -based financial fraud risk indicator (FRI) of the risk -based risk indicator (FRI). This can take measures to protect customers if banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) and Unified Payment Interface (UPI) service providers such as a mobile number are connected to higher risk. Fri has been made available to stakeholders through Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP).

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued advisory to banks and payment service operators (PSOs) for the integration of FRI with their systems. 34 banks, financial institutions and UPI service providers have freeze 10.02 lakh bank accounts, payments wallets based on the action technology reports (ATR) submitted on DIP. Apart from this, restrictions have been imposed on debit and credit on 3.05 lakh bank accounts and payment wallets. Bharti Airtel, one of the big telecom companies, recently reported that it has blocked 1.80 lakh forged links after launching the advanced fraud-detection system. The company had said that about 3 million users have been protected from fraud by blocking these links.

Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has suffered a setback from the central government. In this year’s budget, funding for BSNL has declined by about 59 percent. In this financial year, the company has been allocated about Rs 33,758 crore in the budget. In the last few months, BSNL has launched some new services.

In the budget of the previous year, the company was allocated Rs 82,916.20 crore. However, only Rs 72,027.65 crore has been spent out of this amount. In the budget, BSNL has not even received grants-in-ad for payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST). Telecom sector experts say that the company is indicating from low funding that the government has made a lot of investment in it in the last few years. BSNL is expected to improve the financial situation. The government had also increased the investment to help the company’s launch of 4G network.

Recently, BSNL has launched internet TV service for its mobile subscribers. It will get free access to more than 450 live television channels. For this, the company has partnered with Ottplay. With this, the company has introduced a big option of entertainment for its subscribers. This service is being called BSNL Intertainment (BITV). BSNL Chairman, Robert J Ravi said, “Bitv will get an access to entertainment anywhere without cost.”

BSNL’s 5G service can begin this year. In November last year, in the Delhi-NCR region, BSNL gave a tender for more than 1,800 5G sites. Three companies – Tejas Networks, Lekha Wireless and Galore Network have been bid for this tender. Tata Sons has a major stake in Tejas Networks. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) -led consortium also includes Tejas Networks installing about one million 4G sites for BSNL. The company plans to launch 5G network using 900 MHz low-band and 3.5 GHz mid-band spectrum. The company has increased the speed of its 4G network launch. About 65,000 4G sites of the company have been activated. The country has used technology for this network. <!--

Bangalore, known as the Indian Startup Capital City, has been left behind by Delhi in Startup Funding. According to Traxon’s Jio Quarterly India Tech report, India’s national capital Delhi has secured the first position, which has a 40% stake in the total funding in India. In the first quarter of 2025, India’s tech startups raised $ 2.5 billion, showing an increase of 13.64% from the previous quarter and 8.7% from the same period last year. This achievement makes India ahead of Malta and Germany, but behind the US and the UK, the third most funded country. Detailed information will be found in the video.

Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL )’s 4G network speed speed may increase. BSNL has been approved by the central government for a funding of Rs 6,000 crore for expansion of 4G network. The company’s 5G network is also planned to be launched by the middle of this year.

A media Report It has been told by the government officials who have been aware of this that the proposal of funding of Rs 6,000 crore for BSNL has been approved in the meeting held on February 7 by the Union Cabinet. This fund will also be used for the company’s 4G network of subsidiary metropolitan telephone corporations (MTNL). The control of MTNL, which provides telecom services in Delhi and Mumbai, is with BSNL.

BSNL has increased the launch of its 4G network launch. About 65,000 4G sites of the company have been activated. The company has used technology made in the country for this network. The company aims to reach one lakh 4G sites by the middle of this year. Recently, the company’s chairman, Robert J Ravi, stated that it is also important to ensure the completion of minimum quality of services (QOS) parameters after installing 4G sites. For this, the company has deployed a team in each circle. BSNL has used 700 MHz spectrum for 4G network. This will provide better experience to customers. The company plans to launch 5G networks soon. Testing is being done for this. After installing one lakh 4G sites of BSNL, there is a preparation to launch 5G service.

In November last year, in the Delhi-NCR region, BSNL gave a tender for more than 1,800 5G sites. Three companies – Tejas Networks, Lekha Wireless and Galore Network have been bid for this tender. Recently, BSNL has launched internet TV service for its mobile subscribers. It will get free access to more than 450 live television channels. For this, the company has partnered with Ottplay.
