The demand for Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S series has always been good, but this time the Galaxy S26 lineup is breaking old records. Estimated to be around 15 lakh pre-orders

Samsung received about 13 lakh pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series last year. Samsung has not yet released the numbers regarding the latest series, but the company said that the latest lineup has received 15 percent more orders as compared to last year. It is estimated that around 15 lakh pre-orders have been received for the new series and 79 percent of these are for the Ultra model. Pre-orders are currently taking place for this series, so it is expected that this figure may increase further. Pre-orders for it will close on March 10 in America and sales of the series will start from March 11.

Highest demand for ultra model

Samsung Electronics Korea Vice-President Song Taek said that people are booking Galaxy S26 Ultra the most. This variant has a 6.7” QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Its processor and camera setup is same as S26. However, it has a larger battery pack with a capacity of 4900mAh. Its starting price in India is Rs 1,19,999.

Galaxy S26 Ultra

The flagship device of the series, S26 Ultra, has a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It is equipped with Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Talking about camera setup, it has a 200MP primary sensor, 50MP ultrawide sensor and 50 MP + 10 MP telephoto lens in its rear. It has a 12 MP sensor for selfies and videos. The starting price of this phone launched with 5000 mAh battery in India is Rs 1,39,999. This is the first phone to be launched with privacy display at the hardware level.

Software and security upgrades will be available for seven years

All three models of the series run on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and have Galaxy AI features like contextual assistant, real-time summarization, smart search tool and privacy-focused on-device processing. All three models support wireless charging and reverse charging. Samsung has promised to provide software and security updates to the entire series for 7 years.

Samsung will use Flex Magic Pixel OLED panel for privacy display. In this, with the help of AI, the light direction will be controlled at the pixel level, due to which the viewing angle will become narrow and the quality of the display will not be affected. There are also speculations that Samsung is also working on making it context aware. That means, when you open any banking app or password manager in your phone, the phone will automatically go into privacy mode.
