According to Korean media reports, the demand for this series has started increasing a few days after its launch and it is being speculated that it may even surpass the pre-orders of the Galaxy S25 series launched last year. The models of this series, which was launched on 25th February, are showing a lot of interest among the people.

Estimated to be around 15 lakh pre-orders

Samsung received about 13 lakh pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series last year. Samsung has not yet released the numbers regarding the latest series, but the company said that the latest lineup has received 15 percent more orders as compared to last year. It is estimated that around 15 lakh pre-orders have been received for the new series and 79 percent of these are for the Ultra model. Pre-orders are currently taking place for this series, so it is expected that this figure may increase further. Pre-orders for it will close on March 10 in America and sales of the series will start from March 11.

Highest demand for ultra model

Samsung Electronics Korea Vice-President Song Taek said that people are booking Galaxy S26 Ultra the most. In fact, for the last 2-3 years, the share of ultra models in sales has been more than 50 percent. This time the company has given many major upgrades to S26 Ultra. Privacy display is the most special among these, which is being discussed a lot. This feature makes the screen completely dark for everyone except the user and the people sitting around him. Many other companies have started copying this feature.

Privacy display confirmed

There were speculations for a long time that a privacy display could be provided in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Due to this feature, apart from the user, people sitting around him will not be able to see the content playing on the screen. The screen will appear completely dark when viewed from the side. With this, there will be no worry about privacy while using banking apps and logging in etc. The screenshot shared by Samsung shows that a manual setting will be given to turn it on-off, from where users will be able to adjust the settings as per their wish. Some reports have claimed that privacy display can be provided in all models of Galaxy S26 series, but this has not been officially confirmed yet.

How will privacy display work?

Samsung will use Flex Magic Pixel OLED panel for privacy display. In this, with the help of AI, the light direction will be controlled at the pixel level, due to which the viewing angle will become narrow and the quality of the display will not be affected. There are also speculations that Samsung is also working on making it context aware. That means, when you open any banking app or password manager in your phone, the phone will automatically go into privacy mode. Then when you want to watch a video, it will widen the viewing angle, so that your friends will also be able to watch the video.
