In an interview given to Times of India, Priyadarshan praised Akshay Kumar’s performance. He said- He was about to burst out laughing. After Hera Pheri, Akshay once again showed his comic timing in my direction, and the audience liked it very much. Personally, I think Akshay’s comic timing in Garam Masala was as good as Hera Pheri.

When Priyadarshan was asked about the rumor of cutting John’s role, he clearly said- ,This is all nonsense. Do you think Akshay needs to be insecure with any actor?
