Iran’s Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi said that after the ceasefire in Lebanon, this important waterway has been completely opened for all commercial ships. He said in a social media post that movement of ships will be allowed on fixed routes during the ceasefire period.

US blockade on Iran continues: Donald Trump

After the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, an immediate impact was seen in the global markets. Oil prices fell and stock markets registered a rise. However, US President Donald Trump took a more cautious stance and said that military pressure on Iran will continue. He said, ‘The Strait of Hormuz is completely open, but our naval blockade in matters related to Iran will continue until all our agreements are fully fulfilled.’

More than 10,000 soldiers and many aircraft deployed

According to US military officials, more than 10,000 soldiers, more than a dozen ships and several aircraft are involved in this blockade operation, which shows its seriousness. Experts believe that the opening of Hormuz may be limited in scope, because the movement of ships is being kept through coordinated routes and close to the coast of Iran, due to which control is maintained. This entire incident has come to light amid the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, which is currently in force, but there are apprehensions about its stability.

Trump indicated that talks would take place soon

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts have also intensified. Donald Trump has indicated that talks can be held with Iran soon and in case of a final agreement, he can also visit Pakistan.
