US President Donald Trump has once again praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi openly. He made this statement during the Gaza Peace Summit held in Egypt, in which Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also present.

Trump said in his address, “India is a great country, with my very good friend at the helm. He has done a wonderful job.” After this, he expressed confidence in the relations between India and Pakistan and said, “I think India and Pakistan will live together very well now.” Trump looked at Sharif smilingly and asked, “Right?” To which Sharif smiled and nodded.

In his statement before the Gaza Summit, Shahbaz Sharif had given credit to Trump for stopping the war between India and Pakistan. In this context, Trump claimed that he had threatened to impose tariffs up to 200% to avoid war between India and Pakistan.

What did Trump say?

Trump had said, “I said if you two want to go to war and you have nuclear weapons, I will tax you both 100%, 150%, 200%. He said no, no, don’t do that and I resolved the matter in 24 hours.” However, India has already clarified that any ceasefire or ceasefire decision was taken with mutual consent by both the countries and not with the interference of any third country.

Shahbaz Sharif again demands Nobel for Trump

Shahbaz Sharif reiterated his demand to give Nobel Peace Prize to Trump for stopping the war. He said, “The contribution of Trump and his team to establishing peace between India and Pakistan is extraordinary.” In fact, Pakistan had earlier also nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for Diplomatic Intervention and Leadership. However, this award for 2026 went to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.

Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh will participate on behalf of India in the Gaza Peace Summit held in Egypt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited for the summit, which is expected to be attended by US President Donald Trump and leaders of about 20 other countries. On PM Modi not attending the Gaza summit, Shashi Tharoor said that India’s voice may be limited due to lack of high-level participation.

The Gaza Peace Conference has started from Monday (13 October 2025) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. When India’s Minister of State for External Affairs participated in this, Shashi Tharoor asked, “Strategic restraint or has India missed a diplomatic opportunity?”

‘Our voice may be limited’

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor posted on “The relative absence is surprising.”

The first meeting of the Gaza Peace Summit will be held in Egypt on Monday (October 13, 2025). US President Trump and Egypt’s Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will preside over it. Representatives of more than 20 countries will participate in this meeting. Under President Trump’s peace agreement, 7 hostages were released in the first phase. Meanwhile, the statement of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has come to light.

Through the social media platform ‘X’, the British PM said, ‘Today is the first and important step in ending the war in the Middle East. Now we have to ensure lasting peace and a secure future in the entire region. The UK is providing additional humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza and we will lead efforts to accelerate its reconstruction.

Israel will release 2000 prisoners from Palestine

The US President has visited Israel before attending this meeting held in Egypt. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the US President. However, this visit of the US President is of 4 hours. On the other hand, the latest update in the hostage release case is that in the first phase, 7 Israeli hostages were handed over by Hamas to the Israeli authorities at the Red Cross.

At the same time, information has been given on the ‘X’ account of the Israeli War Room that the remaining 13 surviving hostages have also been handed over by Hamas to the Red Cross to the Israeli authorities. Under Trump’s ceasefire plan, about 2000 prisoners from Palestine are to be released by Israel.

Families of released hostages happy

The Israeli War Room has informed that the family of Matan, one of the released hostages, said, ‘We can breathe again. Our mother has come home! Our beloved son has returned to us after two years and we are very proud of him. We respect his courage. We can’t help but hug him and we are planning his return with him.

This international peace summit will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on Monday (October 13, 2025). The objective of this summit is to finalize an agreement to completely end the war in Gaza.

This international peace summit will be known as ‘Sharm al-Sheikh Peace Summit’ and this conference will be jointly chaired by US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

Egyptian Presidential Palace issued a statement, Indian Government confirmed

The Egyptian Presidential Palace has issued a statement regarding this international peace summit. According to the statement, leaders of more than 20 countries are expected to attend this important meeting.

At the same time, the Government of India has also confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also invited to this summit. However, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh will represent India in the Middle East Peace Conference to be led by Trump and Sisi.

The statement said, ‘This summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, strengthen efforts to bring peace and stability to the region, and usher in a new era of security.’ It also said that this meeting reflects the broader vision of President Trump, whose objective is to end global conflicts and establish peace in the world.

To which countries did America send invitations for the conference?

America has sent invitations to many major international partner countries for the summit to be held in Egypt. These countries include Spain, Japan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Hungary, India, El Salvador, Cyprus, Greece, Bahrain, Kuwait and Canada.
