United Nations Women has published the report. Its title is- The Cost of the War in Gaza on Women and Girls. It said that the war in Gaza has had an impact on women and girls. At least 47 women and girls have died every day. Also, UN Women has appealed for complete ceasefire.

In a press briefing on Friday, UN Women official Sophia Caltorp said that more than 38 thousand women and girls have died in Gaza between October 2023 and December 2025. The reason for this is the aerial bombardment and military operation from Israel. Apart from these, more than 11 thousand women and girls have been injured. They are facing lifelong disability. Currently about 79,000 women and girls are facing insecurity. In such a situation, basic needs like health services of women and girls have been made impossible.
